I have no problem with pro athletes voicing their opinions, they are allowed the same freedoms we all are.
However it should be considered that football in this case just happens to be their job, one that they are paid millions of dollars to do, and alienating a large segment of your customer base while on the job, isn't typically a good business practice. But hey, if they want to kill the goose that laid the golden egg, far be it for me to say otherwise. I personally don't know where else you can get paid that kind of money for playing a game ... the CFL maybe, lol?
That said, I also believe that Trump could have shared his opinion on the matter without coming off sounding like a petulant child.

if it falls apart, which I doubt, There will be a HUGE negative economic impact.
And if enough of the players agree with and support this protest it will fall apart.
For me it essentially a non issue since personally I have no interest in virtually any pro sports.

The NFL thing was perfect way to distract from fact that Trump is officially backing Strange for McConnell's support on health care repeal while secretly being clear that Moore is candidate of choice to shaking the establishment GOP to its core to let them know the establishment is very vulnerable if they don't straighten the f up and support the Trump agenda. When was last time you saw a president endorse a candidate but say he could be wrong and would vigorously campaign for either candidate should they win? Hysterical.
