There were some definite AR volleys, but there was also what sounded like a belt fed m240 as per many knowledgeable people. Don't take my word, listen for yourself.

I heard the shots fired from the videos of the incident. I've also run a belt fed m240 as well as heard them many a night in the distance and from across the range. None of it sounded like m240 rounds to me.

I wasn't attacking anyone here for posts, simply pointing out that the 'reasoning' professed by the conspiracy theory vids was off. They defy logic and try to use imagery to scare people. Why zoom in on a minigun when a minigun clearly wasn't used in vegas?

No explanation for how a shooter hanging out of a moving chopper (even hovering, ie not a fixed ground position) was so accurately hitting so few targets sans tracer rounds. There's no 'sniping' with an m240 belt fed, you get close enough and let 'er rip. It's not like holding a shoulder fired rifle on a bipod or holding it to the shoulder without a bipod, it swings free on its' mount (crucial for spraying a wide area).

Not least of which, in a consolidated group like that concert with a belt fed machine gun there would have been pure carnage. There would be no point in popping off a few rounds here and there with an m240 from a helicopter (a lot of work, keeping the chopper off radar, taking off, staying low in city limits etc etc) when there was already a shooter from the hotel window. What purpose would it serve, to shoot 5 or 6 people the guy in the window didn't hit? An m240 would also be limited to shorter bursts to prevent overheating the barrel making it less effective in such a short time as the shooting occurred. Highly doubt trying to remain 'covert' they'd fancy swapping barrels in a moving helicopter.

It might make for a juicy conspiracy theory with helicopters and machine guns but logic doesn't support it very well. The magic loogie theory on Seinfeld stands a better chance. People in vegas also swore they saw flashing lights in the hotel that must have been gunfire, yet no windows from that level were broken. Magic bullets that fly through glass without making holes, or maybe they had a covert window repair team hiding in the bushes and used mirrors to block the repairmen as they popped a new pane into place. Sometimes it gets so convoluted it's just not believable anymore.

Given enough time I'm sure someone will claim a China funded Russian controlled ufo flew in and zapped everyone with precision photon beams and they just played a recording of gunfire to trick everyone. Maybe the hotel was just a clever hollywood prop, maybe vegas is just a fictitious place created on an underground studio set at area51.

Not doubting that there may be more to the story, more to the reasoning of why it happened. However the so called smoking gun proof coming from blurry video narrated by someone with a voice modulator in a damp basement just doesn't do it for me.

If you watched that video, he did say that it appeared this placed a time discrepancy of close to 10 min with the Official FAA Video - Flightradar24 is not official FAA Video BTW but is derived from it. The 10 min discrepancy he noted may be result of an official misinformation campaign and deletion of Black ops records from the official timeline. Official FAA ATC Video has NOT been released from night in question.
