Trump has the King Makers terrified. He ripped the false veneer of political correctness off the election and has shown how the media and two political parties will go to any length to get their cherished political correctness back. Trump's bombastic rhetoric has them freaked out to the marrow of their bones because they dare not go there, yet Trump is leading the pack because he does.
The Trump dog and pony show does not scare me, what does scare me is Bernie Sanders. If elected, that socialist goon would do his best to turn America into a Socialist dictatorship, where is he going to get all the money for the programs he wants to implement? Not from the ultra rich, not from the poor, but from what remains of the middle class in America.
Clinton's bought and paid for a dozen times over and has shown herself to be completely unethical. Even my very liberal Mom dislikes her, says she can't be trusted, and that she simply skirted the laws of the US with her email server fiasco.
Cruz has the possibility of winning in a brokered convention, but Trump has the momentum. While I think Cruz might stand a chance, it will be on a razors edge. I think he would be an OK VP. He is not the GOP's poster child, but they want someone they can control. Cruz might have the backing of a segment of Evangelicals, but it's gonna take a lot more to win the Presidency than that plus the issue of him being born in Canada, Eh?
Overall, I think that the screams of racism and sexism to shut people up in this election cycle have failed. Ordinary people are sick to death of political correctness and are voting. This should give both parties and the media pause, the pablum of political correctness is being refused by a large swath of citizens. If anything positive comes out of this election cycle it will be the realization that it's harder to control American citizens through shame and accusations than it was previously. Trump ripped off the mask of the media in the King Making process, they lambast him 24/7 and he gets stronger because of it.
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
Mahatma Gandhi
Protestors going to Trump's stump speeches and disrupting them are showing the ultimate hypocrisy of the protestors and the parties they support. They wish to silence Trump and take away his ability of free speech, while insisting that their rights of free speech are more important. When the protestors get violent, they play right into Trumps hands and give him more PR and the ability to point fingers at his opposition saying they are sending paid agitators to his rally's (which I believe is true to an extent).
At this point I think Trump is the only one that has enough balls to take on Clinton and win. What bothers me is that the GOP is willing to hand the election to the democrats rather than back Trump. The mentality of Win-Lose is quickly moving to Lose-Lose. That says volumes on how far the GOP will go to maintain their parties King Makers.
I'm really not in favor of
any of them at this point. I'm an independent and vote my conscience, not a political parties dictates.
