Too many years unable to vape, and now I'm lost trying to replace my favorite tanks. Need help

Hi, they made finding vape hardware so difficult where I live that I just haven't been able to vape in quite a few years, but I think about it all the time and I miss it a lot. When I was still able, the Triton & Triton mini from Aspire were the best I had ever used, Especially with the types of coils you could get. Now I'm kind of lost trying to find something similar. I always had bad luck with other brands, especially Kangertech (always leaking).

The only thing that looks similar is the Aspire Nautilus 2, does anyone have good experience with it? Any other suggestions?

it would be greatly appreciated whatever advice anyone can share :)

Yup, I used the Nautilus series for a long time and then went to RTA and RDA for years. I always liked the triton mini since it was Clapton wire and a bit better flavor to me.
Pods with small mesh coils have surpassed everything for MTL flavor IMO. I now use Vaporesso XROS series everyday. They last forever and you can find them anywhere. Hugely popular with good reason.
5th generation recently released with stock starting to trickle out. Just minor improvements over 4th so I wouldn't hesitate buying a XROS 4. All the pods are cross and backwards compatible throughout the lineup but they're on gen 3 as well. The .8 and 1 ohm are my favorites for MTL.
Hope this helps...

Thank you, I'll keep all that in mind. I loved my triton precisely because of the clapton coils, and idk if there's anything like that, or should i just go with the newer Nautilus ones.

idk how i feel about the pods, they are pretty wasteful. I can't imagine them being able to produce better flavor when they're made to be thrown away like that.

Aspire's latest Nautilus tanks are the 3 and the smaller diameter 3-22. They use the same coils as previous iterations. Very well regarded tanks.
Aspire's most recent MTL tank is the AF. It uses different coils. I haven't tried it but people seem to have a high opinion of the flavor those coils produce.
An alternative is Innokin's Zenith & Zlide tanks using their Z-Coils. They're also top-notch, time-tested coils. I believe the Zenith 2, Zenith Nex, and Zlide Top are the latest.

You should be able to find and buy online the tanks by themselves, for use on any mod you want. If you're looking for a full vape kit, both companies make ones with one of those tanks included. I'd check the companies' websites then check reviews online.

Understood, they are mostly plastic and we as a society put too much into the world. Drop in coil heads are made to be thrown away as well, just more biodegradable material.
I was shocked at the flavor when I finally tried one about a year ago.
As Freyja stated, the Nautilus and Innokin lines are still going. They can certainly be found but many online vendors have closed up. Local availability would be a shot in the dark. Disposables, pods, and salt nic now dominate the market wether us old school folks like it or not.

That is really disappointing, and you can thank my state for being a big part of that. In fact I'm having to order online and have shipped to a friend in another state just in order to get anything at all. It's aggravating af, and it's why I've been unable to vape for so long.

The stupidest thing about it is I don't even use nicotine, i vape 0 nic stuff, and it seems like that's going to be harder than it used to be? Unless I'm wrong. Thankfully i still have quite a bit of liquid from years ago - hope it's still good lmao

idk if it's allowed, but are there any US vendors online that you like? My favorites shut down years ago when the bans happened :(

Vaping regs are a mess. My state has some of the toughest in the country. They mirror the federal PMTA with an approved list plus make it a misdemeanor crime for anyone to even sell anything not approved, which is next to nothing, it's also a crime to purport that it is approved...
Yet all the shops are still here, gas stations stacked with disposables, companies still ship here.

0 nic doesn't matter, stupid but still a tobacco product. It does hold up better aging since the nic oxidation is not present. Flavors and VG degrade over time and eventually it's a dark nasty mess. No harm in trying it through.

As for venders there are still quite a few out there but what they stock is all hit or miss. Nothing like it used to be.
I really don't buy much hardware anymore. 80% of that I vape came out in 2019 and for the last 4 yrs or so it's one sqounk mod, one atty, and one juice I buy a case of 12 when it's on sale, lol. Everyday all day same same.

The rest is MTL for the throat hit. I do pods and get them from Sourcemore in China much cheaper. Sign in or create an account for best price. 3fvape and 2fdeal are good sources for gear and clone rebuildables.
There's a secondary market as well, here in the hardware section, and ECF forum. Reddit BST moved to a discord server and Facebook groups.
A few that I've ordered mostly juice from:

Thank you, i appreciate it. i was just looking at Sourcemore. I wouldn't be buying anything except i just don't have any tanks that work anymore. It's a bummer. I live in a semi-rural/small af area, so vape shops aren't anywhere near me lol

I actually have a bunch of really old vape stuff myself that i need to get rid of either by using the pay it forward, or idk if anyone would even wanna buy it all really cheap. I wish i had known about the reddit thing moving to discord, it's hard for me to keep up with anything online because i have chronic pain and using a computer/phone hurts a lot.

Anyway i appreciate all your help, hope you have a great night
