Today, U.S. federal marshals conducted a raid on a Chinese company’s one-wheeled skateboard booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. U.S. Marshals served a court order and packed up a hoverboard, signs, and fliers and carried them away.
Bloomberg reports Changzhou First International Trade Co., is accused by Future Motion, a Silicon Valley startup, of selling an alleged knock off of their hoverboard.
Future Motion designer Kyle Doerksen said his company has federal and international patents on its Onewheel hoverboard, which sells for $1500 USD on its website.
