Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the most pleasant surprises of 2015, at least in terms of streaming shows. With 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Robert Carlock as co-creators and The Office's Ellie Kemper as the star, series -- originally produced for NBC -- lit up Netflix queues everywhere with its wacky and bubbly take on dark subject matter; specifically the aftermath of one woman's traumatic experience living in an underground cult for 15 years.
Between its oh-so quotable jokes and whip-smart storylines -- not to mention a cast of hilarious characters -- Kimmy Schmidt delivered a brisk, entertaining 13 episodes, perfect for binge-watching. And I am happy to report that Season 2 lives up to Season 1, while also taking the characters in interesting directions.
