Underworld: Blood Wars debuted this weekend to underwhelming numbers, earning $13.1 million at the domestic box office.
As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the fifth entry in Screen Gems' vampire vs. Lycan franchise, from director Anna Foerster, had a production budget of $35 million. While it placed fourth domestically, the film is doing much better internationally, having currently earned a total of $45 million.
Meanwhile, Hidden Figures fared far better in its expansion across North America. The film, which tells the story of the three African American women at NASA who aided in sending the first men into space, is currently sitting at second place with $21.8 million.
