Unmarried batteries

So what is the issue with using batteries they weren't essentially charged and discharge together all the time? Is it simply an issue of making the batteries last longer or is it a safety issue?

Both.
If the batteries are too different, then one will take more of the load and this will result in a shorter lifespan and increased risk of venting.

I have 3 sets of 2 identical same company and specs im looking to get the rx200 is it possible to turn my 3 sets into 2 sets of 3

If you've used them for a while you're probably better off getting three new batteries for the RX200. Or six, if you want a backup pair!
