Hey guys,

Do you prefer the new IMREN 40amp 3200mah batteries over Sony's?

Own a Surric series box.

Not for series..

I don't prefer or reccomend IMRENS myself ever, though..

Series is a wallop of a mod.

Samsung, Sony, or LG are the 3 I'd stick to with series, and really everything else too.

Why do you say hell no? Samsungs are only 25amp, LG's also don't go over or come in 30amp.

Because Mooch tested the IMREN batteries and they don't even come close to those ratings. The labels are complete bullshit.

Personally I couldn't care less what companies name is on the package. All I care about is if the amp draw-ability is high enough for the build I am using, and the MAH long enough I don't have to carry too many batteries. So that probably means I would avoid the Imren. I do prefer to use batteries that actually test closer to their rating.

You have between 7.4 and 8.4 volts too work with.. There is no reason to build that low an ohm to need 40 amps. 20 gets you >150watt and 30 around 275watts, if you forget safety margins.
