I tried the uwell crown stainless steel. 25 dual coil in temperature control mode with my sigelei 150 watt tc box mod for a minute and decided it wasn't right so went back to power mode. Does anyone think I could've fried the tc chip in my sigelei from doing this ?

y amight have fried the coil but not the mod

the mod is just trying to stop working when it reads a resistance that => the temp you set. ANd then keep the coil at that resistance by fluctuating power

Since your mod has no SS mode, you must have used Ni or Ti mode., SS has a much lower TCR then Ni200 and Ti, so if the nod read dry coil or whatever you got that SS coil much hotter then the temp you actually set. So you may have blown the coil or burned the wicking. That is the worse case scenario.

Many people use SS in TI TC mode and set the temp lower.

It works sort of.

But with the never ending list of mods that now do SS TC, if you really want to use the stock SS Crown coils in TC just get a mod that has the feature
