Vape pen heating

Hello, everyone, this is my very first post here, so if I am posting in the wrong section let me know. So I am really new to vaping and have never vaped before, I have a SMOK Vape Pen 22. I opened it up today and decided to try and inhale but when I did it ended up leaking, and almost got into the charging port. I'm not sure if it did or not but I tried my best to keep the liquid from getting into charging port. I found out that the pen was not actually charged so I decided to put it on charge with the USB cable they gave me and I had to use my own power brick of course. But I noticed after a few minutes the pen started to get really warm not hot but just really warm the tank got warm and the battery. I was told this is fine as long as it's not hot. So I just want to confirm this here to see if this is actually normal, I should be under warranty so if anything I can always see if they can exchange it for me.

Welcome to VU. And yes it's pretty normal for a pen or even a box style mod to get a bit warm when charging via USB. As long as it's not getting hot you should be fine. Just don't leave it unattended when charging, charge it over night, etc. Something that you should do is look in the instructions that came with it and see what voltage and amps you should be charging it at, and then check your power brick and make sure that it does not exceed the manufacturers recommendations. If all is as it should be, you should be fine.
