I wouldn't, I'm sure animals can smell your vapor. I don't hunt at all, but if I did I wouldn't vape in a blind. Also I hope you eat what you kill, otherwise its a complete waste.

Deer is very tasty and I just vape fruity flavored juice while hunting I actually killed a deer about 30 minutes after taking this picture

I'd like a .25 cal PCP for Nutria and Possum. I've seen coyote taken with a .25 as well but it was at the intersection of spine and skull.

Vaped hard all morning, saw 2 buck and put down a 7 while sitting on the ground with a bow! as long as the wind is in your favor it shouldnt matter

Ever tried to get a 5 shot string with a ctc measurement of <1" at 75-100yds, now try to do it moving, running, driving, or hovering.

Just got exponentially harder.

No. If I were to go hunting, it would be old school, not armchair hunting with high tech equipment... May as well just sit at home and put a rifle on a drone...

LOL, I brush hunt all the time, and I can see the allure if it's for some 10+ point buck or a once in a life time elk you've had to win a state lottery to hunt, but here its an everyweekend event and I'm not all that worried how I got to or found a hog as long as it's dead and ready to go into the ground to become dinner.

Could also be a very fatal mistake when you run into a bedding ground of 4 or 5 pigs that weigh over 100lbs.

It's not about sport to me it's a way to get a healthier meat that I know where it came from and the condition the animal was in and there is still skill involved you have to know the deers pattern where it's going to come out what time it's going to come out etc. and I wouldn't necessarily call it easy to put a bullet exactly where it needs to go at 200yards and I'm not chasing deer around in my truck I parked it and sat there and I normally hunt in a tree stand or climber

Lol. I have no desire to make it "fair" for the pig honestly. I find it amusing that we all agree that strict battery safety should be followed and not to risk venting a battery for fear of physical harm, yet you perpetuate that it is unhonorable to hunt an invasive species of pig that destroys crops, land, and property without giving it a chance to kill me as well.

This is what a 1300 pound hog looks like definitely not wild...
The biggest wild hog you will find is 400-500 pounds like this one

If you want it to be so "fair" why not just use two 7" double bladed knives. (Essentially what the pigs tusks are equal to)

Most of the wild hog here in SC are around 500lbs. There are exceptions as always to the rule though. I am a still hunter and I love feeling like I am at peace with nature and killing a deer in their natural elements is the most human way to do it....just my thoughts.

But anyway.........I am up in the stand and I am always afraid that the vape can be smelled. I've always heard not to wear any perfumes, lotions or scents on you because they have excellent smelling capabilities. Truth be told though I do sneak a hit or two lol

In TX we have smaller hog and deer due to the harsher drier environment, I got to hunt in SC about three years ago and the fog was so heavy I didn't even see the hog until it was about 15ft from my tree stand. Yall have some massive and healthy pigs. Never harvested a deer there though.

I use scent remover when in a stand, but I still vape lol.

My husband and I have used the scent remover also but never noticed no difference with it. We stopped using it and now just say a silent prayer that the wind is blowing in your favor lol

The right flavor might draw game closer. Honey for bears, apple for deer . lol maybe it'll help but if your blowing clouds they might think its a forest fire and run away.

True, I've never noticed a distinct difference in using it or not.

I get bottles for free at the feed store though so it can't hurt lol.

I lived in Georgetown on Southwestern's campus and worked at Wildfire on the square if you've ever been there. Loved it, awesome environment.
You might look into public land in the Bertram or surrounding areas. They had good scrub land that hog frequent.

Just FYI Javelina are a native species to TX and have a specific season. Much different from feral hog that the state wants killed and therfore has no season.
Some ranches and farms will let you hog hunt on their land for free or even pay you "per ham" lol.

ETA* Javelina are a lot more bow friendly lol, though they can still be territorial and defensive too.
