This is meant to be funny and a little critical of vaping but there is some truth to it. I know I have been ignoring my other hobbies since I got into vaping.

Nice find. Can't say other hobbies haven't taken a backseat to vaping at times, no pun intended. Thanks for reminding me that I need to buy a new DSLR when I have all of this vape gear lined up. At least I still have my guitars, audio gear, bicycles, pen and paper, charcoal, origami paper, movies, vinyls...

...shit, now I'm thinking maybe I just have too many hobbies.

Vacuum Tube Audio gear was my main passion/poison for years. I have spent more money on a single NOS Tube than a nice mod costs

vaping isn't really a hobby for me, just something to keep me off cigs. took about a grand to finally find the equipment and juices I like. still way cheaper than any of my other interests that mostly involve burning of fossil fuels.

LOL, Know about that. Have a vintage Bill Johnson Tube amp from my Dad, before Bill created Audio Research. At 35 watts/channel, it puts the best digital stuff out there to shame.

I dunno, I think he had a point to make and it clearly wasn't as hamfisted as it wanted the reader to think it was by its tone. I've seen articles like this that were blatantly snotty and maleficent. This doesn't strike me as being one of those. Too many in-jokes. Definitely shouldn't have pussed out, though. That wasn't too cash-money. Can't really blame the guy for thinking a large portion of his readers wouldn't get the joke without a laugh-track, though.

Either way, I'm gonna vape and it gave me a laugh. Somehow, life goes on.

WOW!! That is a great piece of Audio history to own. I know a few guys that would kill for that amp.

I actually just sold all my tube gear and used the funds to convert my 2 channel audio man cave into Home Theater / Video Game room for my kids. I rarely had time to enjoy it and it was taking up the main part of our basement so its gone for now. My 2 Boys (8 & 10) are loving having their own place to hang out with their friends and play video games and watch movies.

I suspect that either the author doesn't really know what is satire or was attempting to deflect criticism in response to what is, in reality, a legitimate beef.

It is one thing to walk into a vape shop or other place where one might reasonably expect to be assaulted by dozens of clouds of various scents and flavours. It's quite another to be in a non-vape-oriented public venue and be assaulted by them. I'm not offended by it. I find it far less odious than cigarette smoke. But that's me.

As with smokers: Vapers should be considerate of those around them.
