Its hard to say for me because I started with a "beginner kit" and it ended up being a waste of money once I quickly realized the limitations of not having adjustable wattage. I would start with something like this: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Kangertech-TOPBOX-Mini-Kit-p/krsz020.htm

The settings are easy to figure out and people here can help you get going. It's also top fill which means you can leave the tank on the mod and fill it easily.

I would highly recommend trying the Vapeberri mod. I've been using mine now for about three weeks and couldn't be happier with it. Great size, great adjustability, reasonable price and great taste.

Hi and welcome. Do you like to MTL or direct lung vape? What is your budget? A little more info and you will get better and more accurate responses.

I'm still kind of new to vaping but all I can tell you is stay away from pen-style ecigs. They are a waste of money and nothing like the real thing. Good luck!

I've been using the Kangertech Subox Mini and haven't found anything wrong with it. Been using it for about 3 weeks now

Theres plenty of decent "starter kits" out there. The Kanger Subox kit, the Joyetech Evic VTC kit, the Vaporesso Target kit, basically any mod/tank combo kit can be called a "starter kit" as all regulated mods are basically the same.

Personally, if youre only gonna have 1 mod and 1 tank for a while and not go on a buying spree and what not, then Id make it a high power regulated mod and a tank capable of versatility (unless you already know what kind of vape you like. The RX200 is cheap now and a workhorse. Mines been through hell and still works perfectly. With a mod with a 250 watt (with update) max, you can grow into it, instead of getting a 40 or 50 watt mod, outgrowing it, then getting a 75, and out growing it, etc. Just start out with something powerful that works just as well at 30-40-50 watts as it does at 100+.

It's always a very hard decision and opinions can vary from person to person.
Personally, I started with Eleaf iJust 2 starter kit. Why? Because performance is great for the price what you get device.
Of course, there are also some Cons, but I would suggest to go for ijust 2.
If you want to know more about ijust 2, I would suggest to read deeper review - http://ecigclopedia.com/eleaf-ijust-2-starter-kit-review/

But also @DARKSIGNAL suggestion is just in time, Kanger Topbox mini also is a great device for long-term usage.

By the way - Welcome to Vaping World!
