Vaping makes me gag

So This past couple of months vaping has been making me gag and makes me want to vomit. I get close to vomiting and I start coughing alot. This has not happend before I used to smoke cigs and I never had that problem either. I started using a mod a couple months back and I didnt have a problem with that either. I use 3-6 nicotine so I know its not that. Can anyone explain this its really annoying and I hate it. Ive been vaping for over a year

do you have the power to high? to much vapor? or is it maybe the flavor? have you changed your mixture from 50/50 to a different ratio of pg/vg?

Yes I have changed and tried varieties of different pg/vg blends. Ive tried diffrent flavors and everything. I do know that a while ago i was stupid and decided to use 24% nicotine and that made me sick and vomit and since then Ive been gaging. I feel like maybe since I did that I made my body not like vaping

so did this coughing thing start recently? or has it always been there? because my money is on, you have the power set to high, and youre bouncing from 3-6mg of nic.
have you tried to turn it down and stick with 3mg?

A lot of the time, adjusting to a new mixture can caught some gagging and coughing. Also, nicotine content plays a key role in the mixture. The higher the nicotine, the better the chances for adverse reactions. Drop to a 3 or 0 nic and see what happens. Also, if you were vaping a 50/50, not the best idea to go straight to a max VG blend. Work your way up. 40/60 or 30/70, then play with the 80% and better vg juices. That said, you wouldn't want my juices. We only produce 15/85 and higher VG.

And it took about a week for me to quit coughing vhen I quit smoking and started vaping MTL.. (Provari/Protank)
Was told by my VA doctor that my lungs were irritated by years of smoking tobacco, and needed about a week to heal themselves..well he was right, after 3-4 days of vaping my coughing stopped..that was 4 yrs ago and today even the deepest, cloud blowin, lung hits don't make me cough ..and I'm still completely tobacco free! Lol

It could also be psychological. You said you tried to use too high nicotine and it made you vomit and only then did you start gagging, right? Sometimes the mind remembers your bodies reactions and tries to help prevent that from happening again.

Are you gagging because the vapor triggers your gag reflex? Does it makes you nauseous or does it feel like a tickle in your throat that makes you cough, and therefore gag? Is it the smell or the feeling or neither of those things?

Maybe try setting it aside for several days and then go back to it.

I didn't think about the psychological POV on that.
