Vaping nicotine salts

I am a long time smoker who has attempted multiple times to permanently transition to vaping without success. I am interested in the potential of nicotine salt-based liquids to help me finally kick the analogs. I have had several people recommend them to me as it worked for them.

However, I am rather invested into equipment already. I am currently using a Smok Alien with a Kanger Pro Tank. I typically run a 1 to 1.1 ohm coil with a 12 mg juice. I know I can sub-ohm and switch to a lower mg juice, but don't want to become a chain vaper, either. I also know that nic salts aren't to be sub-ohmed. BUT, would it be okay to vape ~25mg nic salts @ 6 or 7 watts with a 1.3~1.8 ohm coil in my current tanks? Seems to be similar specs to the low power pod systems and IIRC the Smok Alien will bottom at 6 watts. Just don't want to have to reinvest in closed systems that require me to purchase coils and/or pods repeatedly. Prefer to just wrap my own coils and do my own wicking.

Thanks!

Try 18mg, if that doesn't work, jack it up to 24-25mg....you can use the items you have.

Anything above 12 just rips my throat apart. That is one of the appeals of the nic salts: more strength with less throat hit.

Says who? I use nic salt and sub ohm, so does my husband, friends and family. I do diy my juices but it doesn't matter, even commercial salt juices can be vapes like that.

Keep in mind nic salt gives you a quicker satisfaction, therefore sub ohming 50mg salt might be not the smartest idea, and should be used in pod systems only. But up to 24mg is no issue, some even go higher. Dripping is a different story tho, I know there's again that rumor that you're not allowed too...I do it everyday and its fine. Not saying go do it if you've doubts, but I wouldn't put myself in a box and be miserable, because you feel like you're limited. If you want to vape higher ohm that's great too, just wanted too clarify tho.
