Hello all... I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer. Besides Fastech, where can I get a replacement screw for a Kay fun 3.1? Also, in case there isn't another place, is there a way to rig it somehow? I've already tried every single tiny screw I have in the house and most are just a hair too big. Thanks in advance!
@Tina Ellis i took the time to research the screw size and even a source to purchase replacements. Here you go ma'am. 20 of them for $4.xx shipped from a USA seller.

Apparently eBay links are turned into a shortcode that does NOT work. Let me see if I can fix that problem...

EDIT: omg!!!

EDIT 2: put ebay dot com before this: /itm/USA-Shipping-20-pc-M1-6x4mm-Screws-Flat-Head-Philips-Micro-Miniature-/351518846077?hash=item51d827ec7d

You could possibly take it to a machinist shop and see if they can make a little screw for you. Or start taking stuff apart with tiny screws. I too wonder about these screws. i wish someone had a list of the attys, and the screw sizes somewhere for replacements. it might exist actually. i havent searched.

I hate to get off topic... but.. for you coil builders what wire do you use for non-TC? and where do you get it from??? I know alot of people use kanthal and that's probably what I'll wind up with but just wanted to see if there's a more preferred wire by anyone...and where to get quality wire...

I use kanthal wire exclusively, and do not TC at all. I have made many purchases from lightning Vapes.

Good service, fast shipping, take PayPal if you need. They have an eBay store too, but you'll pay more there.

Here's a direct link.

Thanks! I've just read about sub-par non-quality wire and want to make sure I find some wire that is recommended!

That all depends 24gauge kanthal is really easy to work with but unless Ur super subohming .08 ohms or so it take a little to ramp up 24 gauge nichrome is just as easy to work with and have half the ramp up time if that nichrome any smaller then that takes way to many wraps to achieve .2 and can be a pain to adjust so it fires right, I prefer 28g kanthal for coils such as dual parallel and running normal coils 24gauge nichrome

What's everyone's favorite shows?

As I said earlier I'm currently binge watching Game of Thrones on HBO Go. Read all the books so I figured why not. It's awaomesauce.

All time favorite would be The X Files. Also a huge BsG fan.

Just taking it off topic for a bit :)

I'm really not what I would consider a "super sub-ohmer" haha... right now I'm vaping at about .6 ohms on my Kanger subtank's rba deck and I'm not sure that my istick TC 40w is necessarily the optimum device for extreme sub ohm vapes... It seems many are using 28 gauge so I decided to give it a try...

I pretty much can get into any of the HBO series. Love GOT, read them all too, hope the guy releases the next one next year or this year as planned. Other than that. I loved californication, true dectective season 1, didn't get into season 2 yet. Weeds, Silicon Valley, workaholics, Shameless is probably top 3 just love that show, there are too many to name. I am always looking for a good series to watch on though. The brink was pretty funny.

Shut up! I thought I was the only one that watched Ghost Adventures!!
Zak is dreamy... :)
Btw, I'm also a huge Simpsons fan... my brother says I'm the only 45 year old he's ever seen with a open cabinet especially for Simpsons memorabilia. ..

First thing, make sure you aren't over tightening your atomizer. You can crush the pin and it will read atomizer short. Try it again without tightening too much. Finger tight is almost too much.

Secondly, if the atomizer is an RBa, do you have all your screws tight enough on that rba deck? If it's a plug in coil, is it twisted in far enough? What atomizer are you using?

The other thing I would check is the cleanliness of the pin itself. Turn it off, and take a dry Q Tip and wipe it around the pin area. After you've done that, you can gently pull on the pin, upward, with a small flat head. And I do mean gently when you do this. If you crushed the pin, you can pull it back up again, but if you pull too hard or too much, you'll do more damage to it than good. And again, turn it off first...you don't want to hard short your device by sticking something metal in it while it's turned on.

Let us know, okay? I'm headed to bed but I'll check in on the status in the AM.

Which iStick? The 20 (original) and 10 (mini) did not have spring loaded center pins. As such, longer 510 connectors (my Kanger Subtank Mini was my bad boy) will force the center pin down and eventually dislodge the insulator (an o-ring). Use a q-tip to clean the connector, then, look inside the 510 on the mod and check to see if the insulator is still in place. If it's there, but malformed, use a small screwdriver or set of tweezers to gently lift the pin and set the insulator back in place. If it's damaged or missing, put the smallest o-ring you can find on the tips of a pair of tweezers and simultaneously lift the pin while rolling the o-ring off of the tweezers and around to under the pin.

My iStick 20 did the exact same thing, and a little non-invasive surgery was all it took to get it operational.

Do turn off the mod while working on it to prevent further damage by accidentally firing the mod when you have tweezers or a screwdriver stuck in the 510.

Let us know how it turns out.

Love Californication. Weeds was great until the last two seasons...

If Martin doesn't release the next GoT soon I may either up and fade away. Ok... Yeah... Bed now
