I am hesitant to post this since I hate to get the reputation being unappreciative of the things Mod envy gives away. So I want to stress that this Isn't a thread about them.

In January I won a mod envy touch from vapor moon. I waited a couple months Then politely emailed vapor moon about it. Sir lawrence replied that I had won a gift card. I replied with proof that I won the mod. I also requested mod envy to resend. I waited a couple months then emailed again. No reply

Mod envy advertised for vapor moon for at least 15 minutes the night I won. In my opinion they paid for the mod with that advertisement. So I don't feel I'm any different from any other customer. By not sending it, I feel that vapor moon is stealing it. So finally after another month. I emailed them again. This time I decided I wasn't going to get it, So I told Sir Lawrence what I thought of him. I tried to keep cursing to the minimum, but I definitely got the point across that he was a thief.

After that I posted about it on mod envy facebook(after vapor joe said on mod envy that it would be appropriate) Smokie messaged me about it, and after I sent him proof that I won, He resent the info. Its been at least a month, no reply.

I'm not looking for more help from mod envy with getting it. 3 times trying is more than meeting any obligation they might have had. Quite frankly even if I received it now, I would be embarrassed to be seen with it.

I just want everyone that is thinking about ordering from vapor moon to know what sort of ethics they have.

7 months is more than enough time to wait. I'm glad to see that the Mod Envy folks have helped, but to no end. It's a shame that business ethics aren't what they used to be. Sadly, Vaper Moon won't be the first or the last.

I would NEVER buy anything from this man .. I got a mod from Smokie due to having bad arthritis ... The mod envy version of his saber touch .. This mod has stopped working and i contacted him ... His words are if i give it away for a promotion of any type it is not covered under the warranty .. So if anyone has won the gift certificates and purchased anything with it .. It is NOT covered as per his words ... This attitude and his business practices will cause me to NEVER do any business with him nor will i ever let anyone i know do any business with him .... Sir Lawrence as far as im concerned you Sir are an asshole and have bad business ethics .

@Sir Lawrence is not going to respond. This man has constantly posted ads places trying to sell more mods, even though he is months and months behind on orders. I remember when the post on Mod Envy blew up. I cant believe this guy is even still in business.

I went months without hearing about my purchase or even being updated, and when I finally inquired was given multiple excuses ranging from illness to heart attacks and hospitalization. Upon getting together with many other buyers and prize winners who were also waiting, we had come to a count of 7 "heart attacks" based on his excuses that he must have had over the course of 11 months. It was ridiculous. I gave him a deadline which came and passed, he promised delivery which never happened, and I finally had to make the situation public and demand a refund before he would even budge. And even then, he continuously lied and made excuses. Hell, while people were waiting to obtain the products he had advertised on sale, he ran ANOTHER sale to take more peoples money while the rest of us were still waiting.

Make your own informed call, the choice is yours, but I for one will never trust that man with a dime of my money. I'm glad you're just waiting on a prize and are not out any money if he stiffs you. I am glad you brought this matter public, however. It seems to be the only way to light a fire under his ass.

OOOOOO SHIT! Thats right! I forgot all about his "heart attacks". I think it was like 7 of them that we added up from different times he told different people he was in the hospital because of a heart attack lol. Im sorry, its really not funny at all the way this guy does business. Then I see he even has sale posts up on here. I wish the best of luck to anyone that buys from this guy.

That's not it at all. I still offer discounted things on other forums. But just like your comment.. (Sounds pretty shitty), I'm tired of trying to do nice things and then being bashed all the time. I run an honest business. I put my heart and soul into everything I've designed and hand make for people. But it only takes a few people to hurt a bunch of people. I've been around longer than 90% of all vaping companies out there. I have been because I care about people and what I make. But the few that keep bashing me kinda makes me wonder why I still do this company. And like I said, everyone that has placed an order has gotten their order. I'm so tired of people saying that I'm ripping people off.

I want it for 1 reason, because I won it.

In January I had been vaping for about a month. I had a half working ego, and a new mvp. I was excited to win a mod. I told my friends about it, and showed them pictures. Then after not receiving it, I had to tell them I wasn't getting it.

Now,while I still don't have tons of mods. I do have a couple of mechanicals and a hana clone. So if I receive it I will try it out, I just don't see me liking it, after what I had to do to get it.


As for my bashing you on a misunderstanding. I sent you the proof that I won, And smokie said(and I believe him) that he sent you the information twice. So maybe it did start as a misunderstanding but you refused to clear the situation up.

I didn't start this thread to punish you, or to get the mod. I started this thread to warn people of my experience with you. I was careful to put exactly what happened , including your only defense(wrong information received) . Is there something that I was wrong about, or forgot to mention?

As for wanting you to "spend hours and days" making me a saber touch. Yep that's exactly what I want, since that is what you agreed to.

Newsflash, Lawrence... All these people wouldn't keep saying things like this if there weren't a good reason! One, a fluke perhaps. Two, coincidence? Multiple people over the span of the past year... beginning to be an obvious trend, wouldn't you say?!

There is no great conspiracy here. Things like this keep occurring because of YOUR actions, or better yet... INactions.

You should really work on that character while trying to salvage your reputation. Stop blaming others, you're not a victim here. Start thinking about the people you've left holding the bag for once. Seeing things like this continuously pop up disgusts me. Not only because you did it to me in the past, but because someone like you is allowed to continue operating this way and CONTINUES to seek pity when you're the one who needs to step up and take steps to correct these issues.

If I were you I'd stop making excuses or trying to twist shit on to your customers. It's disturbing. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself. Needless to say, you owe this gentleman an apology. Hell, you owe the community as a whole an apology. But we know this won't happen....

I did not break it .. It stopped working all together ... i tried your stop gap that you even mentioned ... the thing is broken and useless ... and why shouldnt the warranty be transfered .. you do bad business and this is why i will never buy anything from you ... If i bought something and PIF 'ed it then that person gets no warranty .. hell with that .. you have bad ethics and i feel no one should ever buy your crap product.

Vapor Moon and the Saber Touch was around this community before some of you even heard of vaping. It and Sir Lawrence have a rock solid reputation for their product and their warranty. I have been hearing about them for years now, and finally decided it was time to purchase one, which in turned into five. Regardless of my respect for the fine craftsmanship in his product, there is absolutely no reason to be so disrespectful in any business dealings.

How many mods have transferable warranties anyways? My Buzz Pro I bought used has none. If you buy used, you get what you get.

aarrgh, if I read correctly, I believe your e-mail contained a "cussing out", I don't find that a respectful way to handle a business situation. It is certainly not a way to get a favorable outcome. Business dealings should always be handled with a respectful dialog.

I said I kept cussing to a minimum, Which is pretty close to the opposite of "cussing out" .I said that because I couldn't remember for sure what I said, and didn't want to misrepresent what happened. Also at this point I had already sent multiple totally respectful(more like fawning)emails to mod envy, and sir lawrence. At that point I pretty much knew he was scamming, and wanted him to know, I knew.

Normally I would never post a private email, because it isn't respectful. But since your "respectful" hero posted his email. to me.I got it out of my history. I will post that email that I alluded to before.





"I gave you another month to make this right. I sent you completely unarguable proof that I won the mod envy saber touch.. There is no way I could fake nitro pulling my name , and you know my name and email from what smokie sent. you.. You blame Mod envy, and mod envy just ignores my email totally. But it is your reputation and integrity on the line, not theirs You KNOW that I won, and are ignoring that,

If this isn't just a complete scam, then I ask you one more time. Please look at
they give the mod envy touch at 2:53:00. . They pull the name aarrgh for the touch edition. And you know that is my name, and what my address is from the mistaken email from smokie, that said i won the gift card. I'm sure you get people trying to get stuff they didn't win. But this one is extremely easy to verify.
Once I won that, It became my property and you have stolen it! It is no different than if I paid for it, and you refused to send it."







Notice not a single cuss word. The only thing disrespectful was saying he stole it. But the way I see it, that was the truth.

I was probably more disrespectful to mod envy, than sir lawrence. I said they ignored me. Really I spoke to smokie later, and he resent that I won the mod. He also resent it again in a couple months after this.

if the mod has a 5 year warranty then why shouldnt it cover if someone else has the mod the warranty is on the mod NOT the person

Perhaps in a perfect world, it would. But, that is up to the manufacturer to decide, eh? :)

Virtually everything I own, other than vape gear, was bought used. So, I have the responsibility of taking care of it and fixing it if it does break. If my Buzz Pro breaks, sure they will help with parts and such, but they won't just replace it.
 
well like i said ill never buy anything from him ... the mod went to crap and why would i spend good money on bad service... there are a lot of people that order from him and dont get their stuff for months and months .. AKA Chris Johnson .. and so on ... the man has been kicked from being a sponsor from Mod Envy not once but twice for his bad business .. This alone should say something about the man ... he can spend time posting new items and sales but not take care of the customers who paid .. so if the man cant fix something or send the mods people pay for then why would i ever spend a penny with him

Just because a company has been around for 5 years does not make them a good company. You are obviously either misinformed, or just do not know the massive list of lies that @Sir Lawrence has been caught in. I am not trying to disrespect you or anything like that, I just believe you are unaware of the truth. Actually, I am quite certain you are. You state that Sir Lawrence and his company have a "rock solid reputation", which is very far from the truth. Those who have received their products from him, (especially the ones who didnt have to email him for months to get it) may very well like the product and the warranty. I have no issue with the product @Sir Lawrence makes. I do not have one, but have, in all honesty, heard more good than bad about it. The issues that so many have with this company, and the man behind it are not about really about the product. The issues are the FACT that he has been caught lying to customers time and time again. He also has owed people products for months and months, yet would still spam FB groups with sales or specials. You must not have been aware of all the horrible business practices this man has shown in the past. That is not your fault at all, your experience with him could have been great, and that is wonderful. But, there are a bunch of people who did not have that experience. I understand that any company is going to have some upset customers, but the amount of people who were all lied to and given the run around by this man, is just unacceptable. These people have every right to be mad about it and to express their anger. Its not like these people got upset about something small and just immediately came here to bash him. @Sir Lawrence lied to these people over and over again. And, when caught in the lies, he chose to lie more, push the blame on his customers, and deny deny deny any wrongdoing. Had he just come clean at some point and admitted that he just got himself in a bind and made a few bad decisions while trying to get himself out of it, everything would have been different. But he refused, and still does. He continues to deny and pass the buck (see above). And, worse yet, he continues to lie, even in this thread. He tried saying that all he asked for was proof from Smokie or Joe that this guy had won, and that he never received anything saying he won a mod. Then right after, he is caught in yet another lie, when Smokie posts that indeed Sir Lawrence was notified that aarrgh had won a mod. I truly hope your experience with Sir Lawrence continues to be a very good one, and that your new mods are excellent. But, you should really know the facts before you tell people that they are reacting the wrong way.

The ONLY reason your dealings with this community have become such a "nightmare", are your own actions. This community can be quite entitled, but it is also very forgiving. You, and many others, know damn well that it has been proven that you have blatantly and repeatedly lied to people. Im quite sure Chris mentions it above, and obviously, you did not have anything to say about it. You dont have anything to say because its already been proven. The worst part about it though, is that you still refuse to be a man about the situation. Your dealing with this community have become a "nightmare" because, to this day, you still accept no blame. All these people popping up that "bash" you, are not doing it for no reason.

As I stated above, this community is very forgiving. Had you, at some point, finally just been honest and admitted that you got yourself in a bind, and made some bad decisions trying to get out of it, you would have probably gained more respect than you ever had. But, to this day, you continue to deny any wrongdoing, put the blame on your customers, and play the role of victim. In this thread alone, you are called out for horrible business practices, and proven dishonest (when Smokie states that indeed you were notified that aarrgh had won a mod). And, your response to the situation was to deny you did anything wrong, try to act like the victim (by stating that aarrgh was trying to "punish you" because he wanted you to make the mod you owe him!!), and worst of all, you decide to threaten not offering the community on this forum any more discounted products from you. On second thought, maybe the last one would benefit the people here more than hurt them.

No matter how much you try to pass the buck, lie, deny, or play victim, you and many other know the truth is,

YOU HAVE NOBODY TO BLAME, BUT YOURSELF!!!

aarrgh, if I read correctly, I believe your e-mail contained a "cussing out", I don't find that a respectful way to handle a business situation. It is certainly not a way to get a favorable outcome. Business dealings should always be handled with a respectful dialog.

You have to realize here that this man won the mod on the mod envy show from Jan 18th 2014 and still hasn't received it!
He probably kissed ass the first few MONTHS hoping to get his $95.00 item but I am sure by month 4 and 5 he knew that there was not much of a chance of getting the mod at all.
By this point (4+ MONTHS!!!) 95% of vapers would be cussing like sailors and telling anyone who would listen what had happened.

Now the 'vendor' finally said 6 months later (Sat July 11th 2014 - Post #24) that he would start making the mod.
Personally I would have put one less mod on the sale thread that costs a little more and send it right away to make up for it but that is just ME.

I think aarrgh has handled this situation extremely well so far.

How would you have feel right now if after ordering your 1st saber touch all you had to show for it 6 months later was the vendor saying he would start making it?

There is no way to make a 'mistake' about a gift card when the show is RECORDED!!! They clearly state the name aarrgh as the winner.

Sir Lawrence most definitely has 1000's of happy customers but had some problems for a few months a little while back.
He could have just as easily closed up shop for that short period and refunded the money he had already taken, if he still had it.

You are so right! I can't make everyone happy, though I try. I have thousands of Very Happy customers all over the world. And my repeat business is wonderful! Later today, I will offer some Unique Sabers on my other thread. Thanks for the post.
If you have some unique sabers available to offer in another thread, then why not send aargh one of those, instead of working all those hours to build him one (since you are out of stock). Thus ending the wait for him?
