You need a 2a wall charger to get the 2a charge to work properly.
I use an anker dual charger with 2, 2.4a ports.
Congrats on the mod! Those are my favorite of all the DNA mods out there.

It does get a little warm, but that's the lipo pack. Even the 18650s get warm, lipos just tend to get a bit warmer. Like your phone when you charge it. Its the same type of battery only it's three of those sandwiched together.Thanks man! VS has become my favorite mod. I sold my therion dna133 after i got my VS

The therion is good too, I have a pair of triade 250s, flask133s, vsdna250s and a flask167 on the way.
I gave my girl one of the vsdna250s and it's pretty much her go to mod. That finish is what tops it off.
Just do yourself a favor and when you're out and about use the sharkskin. Its tougher now than it was, but if it takes a nasty spill, you might still get a bit of rash on it.

Its the same exact mod as the 200 only with the new boardThey said DNA 250 is geared more for 18650s, then this one is LIPO? What's the mah?
Its a 3s, 900mah lipo.
The board is fine with a lipo, just as stable as the 200. When they say its geared more to 18650s, they mean the updated fuse and components can handle the 18650 output better than the 200s.

I have mine permanently fitted with a petri, running as fused Claptons at 60w, 510° and 90w preheat.
I get 4-5 hours on it if I don't charge during the day. The 2a charging takes it from 3\4 to full in 40-45 minutes.
So, for a.mod the size of a pack of Marlboro its really a great grab and go piece if you can charge or in the office, or while driving

Yup, but the lavabox 200 didn't have 2a charging.Didn't the lava box have a 900 mah?
Vaporshark were the only ones to have that up until the new dna250- which is why I have stuck with them for so long.
The dna40 would charge in 25minutes.
900mah 3S is NOT the same as 2700mah.
Multiply AMPS by VOLTS to get watts, in this case watt-hours.
Then your comparisons are apples to apples.
Ex. 900ma 3S lipo; three cells at 3.7V = .9x11.1=9.99Wh. Three 2500mAh 18650 parts would be 2.5x11.1=27.75Wh. Typically a lipo can "burst" higher than three 18650s in series so (in theory) it can hit harder given the right circumstances. Overall experience is similar. Of course there's nothing stopping you from stepping up the game, ex. 4S 3Ah lipo! (careful with those, they are VERY powerful!)
That said, my VS 200 does deplete its lipo rather quickly but it charges pretty decent.
And I have a ton of other things to vape on so no worries.
EDIT: There's a DNA250 vaporshark? I may have to get one. Why I have no idea, as the DNA250 board has the same current limit as the 200 but what the heck.

You're correct, I didn't put it that way because most people look at me like i have 2 heads when I do the engineering explanation and the 900x3 is close enough to make the point

I have no idea what is happening here but it sounds sensual.
The DNA250 has a little higher current limit (23amps, I think it jumped to 24 amps after the update for the DNA200 vs 28 amps for the DNA250) and because of that it has a 30 amp fuse vs the 25 amp fuse for the 200.900mah 3S is NOT the same as 2700mah.

For those of you interested, VS is also offering to upgrade 200s to 250s for $50. You can also have them put in a new battery for an additional cost.

OK looks like current limit has increased by 5A to 55A cont/60A peak.
Definitely going to grab a board and swap out the one in my TUGLYFE box!
I won't be hitting the limit on my 0.05 ohm builds at that point.
They are swapping out boards or is this a full trade in?

The $50 is for a board swap and an "enhanced 510 connector", dont know what is enhanced about it but whatever. Im going to call them on monday and see if they will do my lavaboxes and panzers, there site says " send us your DNA 200 devices" and doesnt say if it has to be a VS or not. Im only 2 hrs away from them so it should be quick for me if they will do itOK looks like current limit has increased by 5A to 55A cont/60A peak.
