So I just rebuilt a 1.1 ohm 26g 8 wrap build. It taste like I'm getting a short about 3 hits in each time. . . I'm vaping on a tugboat v2. My RDnA isn't showing any "check atomizer" and I was under the assumption shorts weren't really common on a regulated device with a dna30 chip?
I thought I was possibly getting dry hits but it's a pretty distinct "short" taste. . . Coils are not touching anything. I'm stumped on where the short could be occurring and confused on why it would come in right around when my coils would normally be giving there biggest hit?

What causes hot spots? Uneven wicking? For what it's worth I'm using a center build in my tugboat. So the coil sits dead center on the one side of the juice well. Wicks are cut matching on both sides. Could I be getting a hot leg on my coil?
And seems to taste like a short.

The contact on the center post may not be even. the hot spots could be at the center post on both leads.

Alright, rebuilt, 1.1 ohms, 26g, 8 wraps. A little less wick and I'm off and running.
Ripping some Bahama Breeze from KRK premium e liquid.
