Vaporesso Target Pro Kit 75W TC cCELL KIT: Where is the Promised Flavor Heaven?

Hi All,

Just a small questions for all who own/used Vaporesso cCell Coils.

I recently jumped to the bandwagon of ceramic coils (cajoled by various reviews) by buying Vaporesso Target Pro Kit and I was excited as hell to enjoy the Hi Fidelity, Cleaner and Crispier Flavor than Cotton coils but alas! I was taken aback with MUTED and COLD vape I had with Target Pro (0.5 Ohm SS cCell Coil).

On top of it I was having burnt hits in wattage mode (especially when I tried to bump the wattage to more than 35W). However I wasn't getting burnt hits on TC mode (as the coils are SS) but then the flavor is almost gone or barely perceptible with Cold Vape.

Now the question is that am I doing something wrong or this is the case with most of you guys?

Regards

I haven't tried the 0.5 SS cCells but the 0.9 Kanthal ones produce great flavor imho. I should get some SS ones to see how they compare.

If it's cold in temp mode, turn up the watts & temp. Try 50w with the same temp and gradually push the temp up till it's warm & tasty.
Too hot at same temp? You didn't have enough watts in the beginning. Turn down temp till it's good

But how to adjust wattage in temp mode in Target Pro???

Found this online...

  • You can lock the device , flip the display , lock the resistance and change from VW to TC (Ni only).

So, Ni coils only for TC mode. No SS.

  • TC mode you can't adjust the wattage so you're stuck at 70

So try a Ni coil and since your watts are already set, then turn up the temp to what works for you.

Well dry hits means its not wicking right. I have had good luck with the coils I have used, but I know they had a bad batch in Dec/January period that you might be seeing. Also more than any other coil this one has to be primed very very well or leave it in the tank for hours to wick up. The ceramic can hold an amazing amount of liquid by takes a really long time to saturate.

As for it muted. I never noticed it before. But the coldness I get. Because of how vapes with half the coil embedded in the ceramic. It's a very dry vape. But flavor for me was very crisp/pure like. It's not about the flavor density. It's about the flavor not being affected by much if anything.

I'm sure most know those but if you don't then this is for you. DO NOT VAPE any NICKEL COILS( Ccells included) in wattage mode. It can be very dangerous to your health if there heat gets too high so keep it in temp control mode. I've had my temp at around 300-350 degrees Fahrenheit but I've heard that up to 400 can be safe and possibly higher but this temp range has been perfect and safe for me so hopefully this can answer the question for someone like it did for me. I repeat ONLY Temp Control Mode start low at 300 F and slowly go up with Ccell nickel coils don't jump temps too fast.

The number is around 750° before Ni gasses any toxins so as long as you are in TC mode you can max out the temp on any mod. 750 is from memory but I know the number is much higher than a mod will do.

That said I haven't used Ni since I picked up SS wire about a year ago, Ni is such a pain in rebuildables.

True it's not technically possible but to be safe I'd stay below 425F if using a Vaporesso target VTC or Pro. And yes I've heard nickel can break very easily when using it in rebuildables but I've never used homemade myself.

425° is barely getting the party started for me but yeah, in rebuildables the wire is soft and you can't use a very thick wire or resistance is near zero with dual coils. Lack of being able to burn the wire clean between builds and rewicking has a good chance of deforming your coil so they are usually not a reusable build :cuss2:

Ni was good when that was the only wire TC mods were programed to use but we are way past that now :D

I looked at the Vaporesso site and the mod has SS and manual TCR. There is also firmware for it. Its just a matter of finding the right settings. I never could get the coils to go much above 30 - 35 watts in power mode. I don't have that mod but put it in SS mode and try 55 - 60 watts around 420F and adjust from there. If you want to fool with manual TCR Steamengine has the values for most wire.
