Say, are those fused Claptons by chance? I tried a Clapton build in my 24mm and the ramp up time was awful. Is there a trick to it, or is the lag just part of it?

Yep, pretty much all I run is 317L SS fused Claptons.

With lots of wire mass you really need a series Mod. On my 24mm parallel or tube mods I run 30x2/36 at 0.18-0.21 ohms. Very nice warm and responsive vape.
