I have been reading about making your own extracts/ concentrates and I am more interested in the glycerite method (although pg is fine too, I have the understanding that they use the same process but one takes longer/ better flavor). That in mind, I can not quite figure out WHAT you can use (basically steep in) glycerine to end up with a flavor extract besides dried herbs and spices.
I have read about oils and sugar being not so great, but is there any kind of math regarding how much sugar *might* be alright to vape or is any sugar at all bad?
It may not be possible to filter out most of the sugar (capturing only flavor essence) in fruit but what about vegetables? lol I'm thinking more along the lines of dried/ finely minced things. For example dried/ minced onion or (preferably) shredding a raw carrot or something, drying the pieces out, and then using it in the way you would herbs that sit in glycerine (which I have read is about a half full jar of -whatever herb you'e using- with hot water to 'activate' and fill the rest with glycerine and let sit for a while)
I guess I'm wondering if anyone has tried something along these lines with decent results in a home DIY set-up?Or is there something I'm missing as far as sugars/ oils/ etc found in all organic material that are not good to vape?
ANY info is helpful at this point!
-hope I didn't upset some kind of forum etiquette, I have always been a lurker only but needed to finally post something to get this question answered lol
