Versatility in one unit.

Hey guys, I'm not a new vaper, but I am fairly new to sub ohming and building. I have done a couple successful builds. I am looking to make an upgrade from the subox mini kit. I would like to have as much versatility in one unit as possible. I'm considering a Sigelei 150 tc with a smok tpv4. What will I love about it and what will I hate about it (at least at first)? Any other suggestions?

It's not a sigelei 150w, but the ipv d2 is a major upgrade from the subox. 75w with TC and you can pick them up insanely cheap too. I think they just released the d3 too at 80w :)

What tank would you recommend? 75W would not be sufficient for the TPV4, would it?

ok the tfv4 will giove you lots of versatility
you can buy one of the 1 million different types of prebuilt coils
or build on 1 of the 3 standard (single, dual, clapton) rba heads

its probably the most versatile tank on the market

the sig 150w is gonna leave you missing out on SS TC

so for that youll need a dna200 mod
a xcube 2
or
koopor plus tc 200w

other then that the sig is awesome, good quality, but it cant be upgrade din the future and has no SS TC

I can't recommend anything above 75w as I haven't gone any higher myself.

As for the TFV4, that really depends on the coils you're planning on using, I think they say on there website what the wattage for the could are. But they have just released the TFV4 mini to go along with there 75w xcube mini, so I would say it would work fine

Awesome info. So, there is a brick and mortar store where I live that has the xcube 2 for 74.99 today. Worth it?

You can get them a lot cheaper than that.

Yes the Xcube will work with SS but understand its level of Temp control is not what you will get with a higher end mod such as the DNA200 if you cannot wait that is a descent price at a B&M..

This may be a dumb question, but what is ss? Also, sig 150 tc at 95$ or xcube 2 at 75$? My subox is acting up badly so I really can't wait.

SS is stainless steel for Temp Control its the newer wire that some use.. you said you wanted versatility if I had the choice between the 2 units and was looking for the "MOST" versatility I would go for the Xcube II.. it does support the major Temp control wires being Nickle, Titanium and Stainless steel IMHO

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'm headed to the shop in about an hour so I have plenty to consider before I get there.

I have both so thats why I recommend the Xcube II if you do not plan on getting into Temp Control it really does not matter they both do the same thing.. I like the Xcube II for the LED's I feel somehow like I am playing with an Alien vibrator or something :)

you do need an iphone or adroid smartphone to activate the TC modes on your xcube
and it will need updated more then likely afte ryou buy it to have the latest software on it.
so do some research on it
or make sure the guys ta the store know what they are talking about and get them to explain

If you don't have an Apple or Android phone it may be worth asking the guys at the store if they can update the Xcube 2 on one of their phones.
