VG and PG suppliers- Is there a difference?

If so, a 'Will a recipe that used cheap base need tweaking when switching to good base, or will I just be 'better'?

Thinking about getting into diy, maybe selling one day (not a lot of diy locally, so no competition). Is it worth it to develop recipes with cheap base, then switch to better base when I actually start selling?

I know flavors are different enough that switching TPA for LorAnns might result in a drastically different product, but what about bases?

Cost is important, can anyone recommend a decent enough VG and PG supplier? (My local Walmart has USP VG. https://www.walmart.com/ip/10417582...75035&wl11=online&wl12=10417582&wl13=&veh=sem Is it adequate for personal use? It's for skin use.)

well with the fda and pmta i think at this point selling local maybe cost prohibitive for a new vendor. anything put in the bottle can affect flavor and outcome. VG is naturally sweet to an extent but there is soy based and others each one would have a different outcome just talking VG.. PG for the most part is another one that can effect outcome. not to mention the rtatio of the two and that is before nic and flavoring

I've used similar VG, came from Rite Aid. I only use it in a pinch, but it didn't affect the taste of my mix. When I first started out, I was using VG from Wizard Labs. I didn't know until I started buying it elsewhere, but it was musty and didn't taste good. This was nearly 3 years ago, so I have no idea if theirs has gotten better since then, or not. I mixed my recipes the same way, even after. They just tasted better. Cleaner.

Bullcity flavorings (formally bullcity vapors) has good vg at a decent price used them up until about 6 or 7 months ago when I switched to heartland vapors vg which is what I use now. Both are good and prices aren't to shabby

as long as the VG is USP, coming from a trustworthy source, it shouldn't matter whos selling it.

Wizard Labs has USP VG, and at a good price. i found that at the time i needed VG, they had the best price on a gallon when shipping was factored in.

essential depot is another place people have been getting VG from at good prices. i think the quality is there, but i have no personal experience.

while its important to get USP VG, technically anything smaller than a drum (55 gallons) will not actually be USP. once the container is opened, air gets at it and immediately the USP grading is null. but for me personally, as long as it started out as USP and not food grade, im cool with it. if its from a good source, i trust that the VG hasnt been contaminated when transferring from the drum to smaller containers. im cool with a little air lol.

for PG, the task is potentially easier because you dont have to pay for shipping on a heavy-ass gallon. search out a store called Tractor Supply. they sell gallons of USP PG for about twenty bucks.

I've used that Humco and it vapes fine. When you compare it's price with say Essential Depot gallons...well...Walmart is very expensive.
