Vg based nicotine

Hi all

Feel free to correct me and apologizes if i might asked the odd stupid question.

I have started to make my own juice as it seemed easy enough.

I have the right messurements for a 70vg 30pg mix i did but i am tasting more nicotine then actually flavour. Now i know more pg means more flavour but i have tried a mix at this ratio before and it tasted really nice.
All i am getting is the after taste of the vg nicotine, i also added more flavour and still no joy.

Im thinking it's the vg nicotine, or does all the other types smell and taste the same?

My recipe is as follows...

PG. 6.66 ml
VG. 17ml
Nicotine is 72mg strength vg based. My target strenght is 8mg which amounts to 3.3ml

Flavouring was at first 15% but all i was getting was the nicotine after taste. I upped it to 25% which gave me more flavour but still that horrid after taste.

But recipes i have seen use less flavouring but don't state if the nicotine is VG based. Are there better types of nictine to use?.

I bought a gold pack starter kit off the alchemists cupboard and the brand of flavouring is cappella.

It should make no difference in the flavor of the nicotine if it's in PG or VG.

Some nicotine has less taste than other brands. I *think* I read somewhere here that there was another experience with Alchemists Cupboard nicotine being strongly flavored.

I believe you can get Chemovatic nicotine in Europe, which is extremely good with very little flavor at all (I'm assuming you're in Europe since you're using 72mg/ml?)

Hi Amanda, thanks for replying.

I am in Europe, UK to be exact. I must be this nicotine i got in my starter kit. No matter how much flavouring i use, the nicotine is the front runner in taste.

In fact im all out of flavours and need to buy more, but i just wanted to get this nicotine problem solved first.

I will try your suggestion Amanda.

Thanks again.

Just a thought.

Did you shake it(the VG nic) really well before mixing?

If not, it could be that your vg nic could have separated and you ended up with a higher concentration of nic.

Come to think of it i never. Didn't know i had to do that. As most people were saying it's dangerous stuff. I thought shaking it was a bad idea.

You live and learn i guess.

That could be it. Shake the hell out of VG nic to make sure it's mixed together.

Okay I'll give that a shot. Cheers for the help.

A bit off topic , but i now need some new flavouring liquids as i have ran out. Do you recommend a particular brand?

FlavourArt! Very concentrated, true to actual flavor. I also have a nice one from Chef's Vapour called Jam Roly Poly, very nice and fruity, makes a good custard. And JustVape24/7 has a lovely Crazy Creamy Custard.
