Voltrove 41mm RTA (Modfather 40mm RTA)

I know plenty has been said about this magnificent unicorn over in the 30mm Modfather RTA thread, but I think it deserves a thread of its own. I just got my tracking in, my 41mm Voltrove RTA is on its way to me right now and I'll have it in 2-4 days and soon after a HoG V3 clone to seat it on. It's called the Voltrove 40mm RTA, but Voltrove stated it's actually 41mm, hence the title.

Specs:


Diameter: 41mm

Capacity: 25mls

Deck size: 28mm

Deck style: Dual block posts with two 3mm holes horizontally placed on each. Parallel deck, no series deck available yet. Standard RDTA style wicking holes under where the coils are meant to sit.

Material: Stainless Steel body with delrin drip tip and copper 510 pin.

Price: $75-$100

I'll definitely post some pictures and a mini-review of this beast when I get mine in the mail soon, I cannot wait to compare it to my 40mm Mason Dumptank RTA and the old 30mm Modfather RTA. I know a few other members here have them, so I'll leave it to them to fill in the blanks in the mean time.

Kidneypuncher and the Voltrove website are the only US vendors I could find with it listed, and of course both are out of stock and will be until nearly April from what I've heard. I found two on Ebay, but they are gone as I bought one and someone else got the other. I saw a few UK sites as well, but with those two on Ebay snatched up, as of now I can find no place with them in stock unfortunately. I hope we see a new, large batch coming out soon, as more people should try these behemoth sized tanks out. They are quite fun to use.

Yes, it is a beautiful BEAST!

I've been playing around with mine a bit. My first build was a 0.3 and holy shit, way too hot for my Big Pig, hell I was choking on my Vape. I have since put a more sane 0.5 build in, awesome smooth flavor, it's a joy. No leaking with either builds either.

Anyway I'm going to pop up my thoughts after playing with her more and when I get my HOG V3 in.

Oh I also pinged Modfather, yes they are planning on extra goodies like they did with the Modfather, Series Deck, Short Kit, etc. I'm fucking stoked. Just the thought of a series Deck and Short Kit gives me a woodie

I thought the same thing, but this Mother of the Unicorn's Milk juice is extremely good and according to ro55co the cannoli and dragonfruit flavors are as well. I plan on ordering the Cereal Lover juice when I get some more money, as this MotUM juice is VERY good, not to mention they offer 1.5mg nicotine which makes me very happy. Add that to the 80vg/20pg ratio and the $75 price, these 1,000ml bottles are all I plan on getting from this point forward. I ordered the sampler pack so I can find out which flavors are the best, but I think this MotUM is what I'll like best. Tastes JUST like it advertises, it's even better than the Cuttwood Unicorn Milk.

I DIY, 1 liter materials cost for me would be about $25 +/-, their costs are probably less since they buy in bulk. Factor in overhead, he's still making a profit.

Make sure you have plenty of smaller bottles handy, unless you plan on carrying around a 10 pound 1,000ml bottle and using the fucking hair toner sized squeeze nozzle it comes with. These bottles are even bigger in person than they look online, just over a foot tall and around 7-8 pounds.

I've got a glass unicorn bottle that has a lever connected to a platform that moves and alters the vacuum, pushing or sucking the juice in/out of the bottle, and I'm just going to refill it every time it gets full. I couldn't imagine filling 33 1/3 30ml bottles or carrying this behemoth around, though I know some people who absolutely would truck this fucking giant bottle around everywhere they go. Not me. And that's coming from the guy who vapes 40mm devices on the regular.

60Ml plastic unicorns are easy to carry and fill. I'll probably just dedicated one of those to each flavor and just refill as needed

Tons of airflow, huge capacity, build quality is a solid 10/10 because this thing threads together like buttery smooth art. I LOVE this thing, I'm rocking a 4.2mm 12 wrap fused clapton (26 ga NI80 x 2 w/ 36ga K) coils at .38, 225W. Lord god.

Well I've been messing with builds on the BEAST. First build I put a 4mm di 28x2/36 317L SS @ 0.3Ω, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too Hot, 200+W wasn't enjoyable. I then put a 3mm di 28x2/36 Kanthal @ 0.4Ω was better but the 3mm I was getting dry hits and not enough cotton. So popped another build in with a 4mm di 28x2/38 317L SS @ 0.5Ω much, much better. This BEAST loves large di coils, hell I could easily pop a 4.5mm coil in no problem, maybe even a 5mm (I think that might be pushing it though). I haven't had any issues with leaking, you just need to leave a bit of room at top and burp it when filling.

Flavor of this BEAST is wonderful and it chucks, I mean it seriously chucks some plumage. The build quality is simply outstanding, the machining is just superb. Oh and it's heavy, seriously heavy. It dwarfs my VCP Big Pig which is a major feat.

I checked my tracking and my HOG V3 Clone should be delivered tomorrow which she should fit just perfect.

Mod Guards, I always use them.

I just edited one of my recipes to 1000ml. Cost of ingredients is $15.07 at 30pg, 2mg nic, and 14.5% flavor. Then add the bottle, label, shipping, etc.

I went through a full tank tonight, 25ml!!!!!!! You think the Modfather is a thirsty tank wait until you start Vaping this beauty. But damn I'm so amped up on Nic it's almost 4a.m. and I'm wide awake, going to have to get some 1.5 juice so time to get a liter from 1000ml.me.

Anyway the only HOG V3's I could find were the splatter puke designs, couldn't find a Black one so I got the Clone from 3FVape. I'm really, really impressed with it, so much so I ordered another as a back up. The Authentic goes for $180+, Clone I got for $30 and I'm finding it to be of excellent quality. I'd like to get my hands on an Authentic and do a comparison but to be honest I'm very satisfied with this clone. As with most Authentic's manufactured in China I'm finding the Clones of them to be very close to the Authentic.

HOG V3 + Voltrove, it's a perfect marriage. The Voltrove fit's perfectly on it, just like it was made for it.

Seriously, it really does seat perfectly. I got mine today, love the fuck out of it. It hits harder than any normal series mod (the parallel series circuit allows for less strain, AKA less battery sag) and offers battery life.

I do plan on making my own contacts for this mod out of silver, as I know a guy who had his HoG V2 done up with new contacts as well. I'll do that and put my own 510 on it because I hate the fact that this thing has AN ADJUSTABLE, NON SPRING LOADED 510. I didn't know that, I was a bit let down, but all I wanted was the box. Now that I have that, I'm going to be flush mounting a 30mm spring loaded 510 on top and replacing the contacts with silver ones, but that's all. I figure then it'll hit even fucking harder.

Low key though, this Iron Maiden 30mm RDTA that I ordered alongside the HoG is the BEST flavor neo-genny RDTA I've used. I quite love this thing.

I think the Iron Maiden has equal if not superior flavor to the 30mm Modfather, and maybe equal or slightly less than the 41mm. Not sure how it's possible due to the fact usually a bigger chamber and wider chimney would equate to less flavor, but not on this thing, it has better flavor than the 30mm MF IMO.

Knew you'd love it, it is just perfect with the Voltrove. The Iron Maiden, Yep, Yep, Yep I really like that Tank also.

Also about the parallel series a lot less strain/sag. That's why I really love the Sith V2, that is my favorite parallel Mod.

I absolutely adore it, the only thing I didn't like was the fact the 510 wasn't spring loaded but I can get over that. I planned on putting a 30mm, low profile 510, flush mounted on the box from the start. Same with the contacts. I want to make this thing the best beast it can possibly be, and it's already a fucking beast.
