VooPoo Argus Matrix
I'm here today with a new pod from VooPoo's Argus line. This is the Argus Matrix, which comes equipped with a 1350mAh battery, slightly smaller in capacity than its sibling, the Argus G3. As for the cartridges, it uses the same ones, so we can ensure a great flavor 100%.
Let's move on to the review, but not before thanking the VooPoo team for making this review possible. You can visit their website to learn more about the Argus Matrix.

Packaging
We'll start directly with the packaging. As you can see, it comes in a rectangular cardboard box. From this image, we can get an idea of what to expect; as you can see, it follows the same shape as the Argus G3, although it implements some very impressive and also deactivatable lights.
What stands out the most on this front part is the device's own image, in addition to the decoration offered on the packaging. It also shows us that it includes iCosm Code cartridge technology.
I find the packaging simple yet beautiful and elegant at the same time. I like it.
On one of the sides (though it's hard to see in this image) we can find some of the device's features. On the back, we find the box contents, some contact addresses, various logos, a few warnings, and a sample sticker, so the packaging and its contents may vary in the official version.
Inside the box we find:

Device
Here's a breakdown of the device itself. As you can see, it's a stick-type device with dimensions very similar to the Argus G3. If the body is practically unchanged (in fact, the Argus Matrix is slightly wider), why would they reduce its battery? I know it's only a few mAh, but honestly, what's the reason?
Setting that aside, from the side, you can see a button with three simple, very basic functions:
Setting that aside, from the side, you can see a button with three simple, very basic functions:
- 5 Clicks to turn the device on or off.
- 3 Clicks to change the wattage in 1W increments.
- 2 Clicks to turn the lights on or off.
At the very top, you'll find some branding, and just below that is what I'll call the screen, though it's really just a simple wattage indicator made of small LEDs. However, the entire border of the front panel is the area where the lights illuminate and also show the remaining battery life.
Before I finish describing this image, I'll let you know that the device is made from a zinc alloy and IML (In-Mold Labeling), an advanced technique for decorating plastic parts. The cartridges, on the other hand, are made from PCTG, as we're used to seeing.
Here I'm showing you the lighting system in action, along with the power display. These lights turn on every time you press the button or take a puff and have an animation where they travel up toward the cartridge. In the display area, you can also directly see the chip, a detail that I love and that the Luxe XR Max and Luxe XR Max 2 also have. The display, besides showing the wattage, also shows the puff duration for a few seconds.
At the bottom, you'll find a battery display, indicated by a small lightning bolt. It's made up of five slots, so you can assume each one represents 20% of the battery life.
