So its been a while since we got a new upgrade of the Drag series, this time its the next generation, the Drag 5.

There is a lot to discuss so let us get started, for those in a hurry or those that just like visual aids here you got some basic info of what this kit is all about.

Unboxing and first impressions:
Now i am not going to lie and say this is a high end device but that is the sensation you get when opening the box,not full high end but yeah you that feeling.
Voopoo never fails to deliver a kit properly packaged with everything in its place.
Holding the mod it feels familiar, basically the same shape and size as the previous version the Drag 4,aethetically the main change is the battery cover.
This battery cover isn't your usual ''taco'' shaped cover, this one resembles more those covers some folks had for their Tablets.
They kinda fold and are easy to remove,in the future i am guessing they will sell different patterns and materials so you can customize your mod's look.
The mod itself is made of leather and zinc alloy, weight is 156.58g which i think is pretty good if you keep in mind its a dual battery mod (18650x2).
The UForce-X tank is what really got me interested, been a long time user of the PnP X coils, and I've used daily with the Argus Pro 2.
But I have never been a fan of the tanks that are in place for pod mods so i was eager to give this a try, will it be better? worst? the same?
Vaping time:
I have used the new PnP X coils for a long time so i know what to expect, wondering if the new UForce-X tank will make my vaping experience better or not.
This tank is 25.5mm at it sits flush at the sides, does get a bit bigger in the middle but only because of the bubble glass.
Ok so time to prime the coil, put it in the tank and then fill the tank with my e-liquid of choice, some Lemon Candy e-liquid at 6mg of nic in a 70/30 proportion.
Now first win win for me is putting in the coils in the new tank, with other plastic tanks you had to align the flat side of the coil with the hole in the tank. Here there is no need for that so just insert coil, press it and you ready to go.
Fill systerm is different with this one,you do not twist and pull, you have to pull back the top and it will slide to one side.
Using my usual 120ml bottles of e-liquid meant i had to remove the drip tip of the mod,not a big deal but honestyl i would have preferred the OG system when you just twist the top and remove it.
Tank is full and the coil is getting soaked in e-liquid,going to leave it there for 10 minutes while i go some menu operations and commands.
-Fire button 5 times to turn the device on or off
-Fire button 3 times to lock or unlock the power setting
-Press up and down at the same time and you unlock the menu.
Power wise you can choose 4 different modes: Smart,RBA,Eco and TC.
When you're in the menu you can also customise the 3rd switch so you can assign it to do whatever action you want:
Lock fire button
Lock wattage
Turn off and on the device
Apart from that in the menu you can also change the color of the UI,reset puff counter, battery evaluation and you can also turn off or on the fire animation you get that appears on the screen when the fire button is pressed.
The Battery evaluation i couldn't get it to work when i did my video review, then i realized it only works with the 0.15 coil.
Basically tells you in what shape your batteries are at,while it is a nice feature to have but its a bit odd it only works with the 0.15 coil.
Ok coils primed and ready for a taste, not a fan of the 0.15 since its not my style of vaping so i started with the 0.3ohm which is the coil i have been using day in and day out.
So i wanted to do this right so i tried the new tank side by side with my Argus PRO 2.
Same e-liquid,same new coil and same wattage....
And yeah i can say I'm sure 100% but i could swear i got better performance from the UForce-X tank, good vibrant flavor and dense cloud production along a very good hit.
Now keep in mind i always the the MTL tank in the Argus PRO 2 with the 0.3 ohm coil, just a bit more restricted...that is the way i like it.
All in all this new UForce-X tank truly delivers the goods when it comes to your vaping experience.
PROS:
-Design
-Quality
-Materials
-Performance of the tank
-Innovation thanks to the new battery cover
-The 3 in 1 switch, easy to turn off the mod or just lock it
CONS:
-Fill method? Not a fan,not bad perse but i just prefer the ol' twist and lift
Would i recommend this device:
Heck yeah!! For me it checks all the boxes.
Powerful mod that goes up to 177 watts, cool design and well made and it uses the new PnP X coils so yeah what more could i ask for.
Quick PSA:
Like i mentioned in my video review the battery cover would lift from the resting place where the magnet is each time i held the mod.
Not by a lot but there was an obvious gap,i did get in touch with Voopoo and they promised this wouldn't be the case with the retail versions.
Well that is it for today folks.
Thanks to my friends at Voopoo for sending me this product so i could review it and thanks to everyone who took the time to read this review.
