VTC Mini - New Firmware 3.01

New Firmware with "Starter Mode" for CUBIS and BF heads

What’s new in Version 3.01?
Newly added Start Mode for those who are new to the CUBIS and BF heads. You can easily get started. The BF SS-316 and BF Clapton series heads can be applied under this mode. Based on it’s resistance, there will be an recommended output range with the dash line marking the maximum. You can get the best vaping experience when using in this recommended range. Still you can adjust the wattage beyond the range as to your preference.

So is this worth downloading if you don't use a Cubis?

Thanks, you saved me having to start this thread.

The wattage suggestion sounds good for the less experienced vaper.
If it helps, and works... well done.

But... there might be more.
I have to grab it later to verify, but over on ECF, it's claimed this one adds the Busardo fix for adjusting watts in TC mode. Click UP and both UP and Down become active.
No more Round Robin. Woot! :D

eta: VERIFIED! Double Woot!

Lol...I kind of like the way things are set up in 3.0, so would like to know what else there is to it...

How hard is it to try? Upgrade -> Try -> Like -> Keep -> Don't like -> Downgrade .. simple and takes 2 seconds for each operation :D

As far as I've heard, that's all there is to it.
The change to the power adjust is all I needed to be honest.
That was my only complaint.

Be aware though... it resets the TCRs back to 120.

Everything else works and looks the same.
When cycling through the modes however, you do have to pass the new "Start" mode.
An extra click... how wearying. :p

Thanks for sharing! Love being able to go up/down on wattage now!

Starter Mode is useless but Up/Down in TC Mode is gold!
Thank you, did not know. Hopefully Joyetech apply the same feature to the Cuboid, more Watt to cycle through

Of the "JTech Four", I only have the VTC and RX so I was actually wondering about the Cuboid and Presa as they share the VTC's general screen layout and controls.
Incoming v3.01 for those in 3...2...1... :D
(The i100TC would be five, but that extra button changes the UI)

For "Start" mode... I finally Googled the Cubis' BF coil heads.
They're different, as is the tank system itself. I saw it pre-release, then promptly forgot about it. Far too much other vape crap to play with. :)
Going by the MFG suggested wattage, they run quite low, which would explain this new mode's conservatively low initial setting with the Bellus I tried it on.
I may still experiment with other attys, but just for grins.
It's apparently designed for the different specs of those heads.
(I knew that from the description... but now I think I understand the why)

As I said... if it's to help less experienced vapers, I'm for it.
Honest to FSM, I could go the rest of my life happily never seeing another "what wattage should I run these coils at?" thread. :p

Sorry I'm late -- Just checked updates for the helluvit and found 3.01 for the VTC Mini.

Using Crown SS coils, never got TC to function properly (in 3.0). Protection was kicking in no matter what, even at low temps. Now, it seems quite usable. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a fan of 3.01 so far.

Except that now it's even EASIER to chuff an entire tank down in mere minutes. 500F/50W/0.25 max VG is like silk. Pure luxury.

Wish my eVic VT did stainless...

I must say I'm liking 3.01 as well. Been running mine with the Herk plus tank on .2 ss316 coils and pulls like butter in tc....500F @ 55 watts...

I have almost stopped lugging around the RX200 as they are damn near the same hit in tc. Plus I like the puff counter, I don't know why but I just like it...lol
