VTC Mini settings

What's your sweet spot for the VTC Mini? As pictured, I have mine set on TC @ 450°F and 23.5 watts. I use the ego ONE Mega tank with Titanium coil head.

28 watts 480 degrees with Goblin Mini. Not really impressed with it, same tank at 24 watts, 420 degrees on my D2 performs better and has better battery life. Trying REALLY hard to learn to like the VTC!

Howdy Humans! I've got two of them. One paired with their Joytech Ego one megatank tank has a Ti coil in it running 460 F at 47W. Works ok, I'm not thrilled with their tank. It doesn't seem to work very well with their Ni200 coils. The Ti coils are ok. Of course that could also be a function of the fact I have some cruddy joose it it right now.
The other VTC Mini is topped with a Tobeco Velocity clone (love it!) with a 24/32 Nichrome 80 core/ Kanthal wrap dual Clapton coils, 2.5 mm, 7 wraps IIRC coming in at .26 ohms and I'm running it anywhere from 37.5W to 55 W. Works great.
I like the size of this mod. I got a silicone sleeve from Angelcigs on one and that makes it feel a little nicer in the hand. Good bang for the buck.

I just got mine yesterday and so far only have tried the nickel coil. I like it set at 60 watts, 580 degrees.

I have been using my mini for 3 days so far and on every tank and atty I have to turn the temp a good bit higher to get a vape similar to my rdna40

My settings can vary from juice to juice but a lot of the time I have it at 480 degrees and 40W.

I initially used the nickel coil and it starting leaking. And yes, I kept checking to ensure the coil & base was tightened properly to the tank every time I refilled. I went through 2 bottles of good juice trying out 2 different nickel coils only to see the juice leak all over the mod! Right before I was going to return the entire package, I decided to try the titanium coil. So far for a week now I haven't had a leak so the nickel coils are complete crap IMHO. I think the nickel coil o-rings aren't sealing properly. I am looking at the Kanger SubTank Nano as a possible replacement. Check out Ecigarette Empire as they have very competitive prices, free shipping but most of all, excellent customer service!

I prefer nickel coils to your Ti, so my preference may not be yours.

About 500 degrees, 50 watts. Can go up or down depending on the juice. With a very rich and savory juice (like my PB cup, for instance, you gotta dial it down.

This isn't surprising. When I use my IPV3 Li in TC Nickel, I'm only at 400F, and 30-40J depending on how much vapor I want. Granted there's a Triton on there... But different devices will yield different sweet spots, which is probably not news to you.

I guess we'll all post our updated settings in the next few days. A firmware update just dropped! v1.2 which bumps up the wattage to 75 watts!!!

The only half decent normal ego one coil is the titanium. The rebuildable CLR coils save the tank. Huge improvement over the normal CL coils.

Thanks for the heads up! Got two to update, think I'll do one and see if it still works.

@darthvapor420 is there a reason why you do not lock in your temperature setting? A little padlock icon shows up next to the temp when set. However even when I do this I notice it still changes on its own.
