Well, I don't watch either, so I really can't imagine what that would be. I stopped being interested in the news after Walter Cronkite retired, maybe sometime around the time that someone broke Geraldo Rivera's nose for having the temerity to report the actual news. Nowadays it's not news, it's happy talk that serves the interest of the media conglomerate that owns the station, to keep people sitting there to see the commercials -- it has no other purpose.

Andrew was, first and foremost, a conservative. He took pride on being equally tough on everyone. After he died, Bannon went apeshit and became a frankenbeast. Evidenced by the abrupt departure of several like Shapiro when he jumped on the Trump train and became a Trump sycophant. Milo was fired (although he was later reinstated) in a knee-jerk reaction. I'm absolutely convinced that if Andrew were still alive, Trump would never have been the Republican nominee and we'd have an adult conservative in the White House. Trump has done some good things in the last year, but he's also done some not-so-good and needs to get the fuck off Twitter.

I think it's the entire "progressive" mindset that needs to disappear -- maybe back in the early 20th century, the country needed people looking out for them against the time's rampant abuses -- getting the opiates off the OTC shelves, getting most of the dirt and toxins out of meat, etc... Getting immunization established as a requirement... But nowadays, progressives mainly stand for "this is for your own good whether you want it or not" -- exactly like parents giving children medicine, and I find that insulting in the EXTREME -- I'm 56 yrs old, I don't need someone forcing something on me "for my own good," as I'm quite capable of determining "my own good" for myself. Thx to the internet, information is available to anyone who cares to look for it.

Today's new bring to mind the Good Ol' Gossip Fence.
When something newsworthy ( and I am using that term very loosely ) happens, local, state, national and international news outlets respond like a flock of starving pidgeons on a single crust of bread trying to get their version of the story broadcast, uploaded or printed, depending on their brand of media and on display to the public at large often forgoing what used to be the all-important checking and verifying the actual facts of the story.
And then the story is presented to the public is further filtered and colored to fit the personal belief system and bias of the news reader or the organization reporting the news.
Me, I miss REAL REPORTERS like "Uncle" Walter Cronkite whom we would invite into our homes every evening to offer us the straight up "Who, What, Why, When, Where and How" of the events of the day only after the facts had been checked, rechecked and verified and would then leave up to us to formulate our own thoughts and opinions on the story that had just been presented to us. And all without the aid of a panel of so-called "Experts" telling us what to think about the events that had just been reported to us. That and the local and national weather report.
Just the facts.
No so-called experts, no recipes, no fashion tips, no cute puppy and kitten photos, no footage of either half drowned or frozen weather reporters out in the elements to prove how wet or cold it is outside.
