Walton's Birthday Adventure

The little time travel challenge we face in scheduling a birthday party for @walton actually works in his favor. He gets two birthdays. His real birthday is July 22. He's in Australia, Tasmania specifically, which is 15 hours ahead of USA central time. He'll take off early in the day on his July 22, which is our July 21. Crossing the date line, he'll land in the evening on our July 21. We'll celebrate his birthday then, since his body clock is Aussie and he already woke up at home on his birthday. The next day of our celebration will be our July 22, Walton's second birthday.

We're putting up decorations and arranging guest seating now, July 21 at noon USA central time, which is 3am on July 22 in Tasmania. Our party venue is a posh gentlemens club. While we wait for Walton's arrival, the rest of us can arrive whenever we want, enjoy each others company over lunch, maybe a swim (bring your swimsuit). We bought Walton a club membership, and we're all registered with in & out privileges as his guests for the next few days.

The wait is finally over! Here comes the birthday boy now, in the limo we sent to fetch him from the private jet we chartered to fly him here for his party. The pyrotechnician will launch the fireworks please.

A warm welcome @walton, from your friends @gopher_byrd, @Freyja, @Jimi, @2WhiteWolves,
@gloopdegurp, @Heartsdelight, @misswish, Bliss Doubt, and new friends you're about to meet.

The first thing we need is the "happy birthday" song:

Freyja ordered the champagne, plenty of the best for everyone:

Freyja champagne duofold.png

And a birthday cake. This one ought to feed the crowd that has gathered for this celebration:

Before we settle together in the lounge, meet your guests. Your reception line, next post.

Freyja found an article about the most beautiful women in Australia, contacted the editor, had the invitations sent out, and quite a few of the beauties cleared their calendars to be here! This reception line will take you a while to get through.

Soon we'll all gather in the lounge for drinks and vapes, then we'll have dinner, but for now, the next order of business is your spanking.

Getting your birthday spanking is mandatory. Giving a spanking is optional, and volunteers are waiting for you in the spanking room. Here are your souvenir t-shirts, and one of your guests who wants a spanking. Please report to the spanking room.

And of course there is a spanking play list:

Whipping post - Allman Bros. Band

Whip it - DEVO

That wasn't so bad, was it?

Now it's time to relax and get to know each other better in the gentlemens club lounge over vapes and some of that fabulous champagne provided by Freyja, and cards from your friends. Coffee and tea are also available at the lounge bar.

What happens when people get to know each other over drinks? I mean other than questions, flirting, compliments. Jokes of course.

As the years roll out, it's natural to think of how times have changed.

t's time for dinner. The gentlemens club offers appetizers and snacks in the lounge during all open hours. Dinner is served from 8 to 10pm, and we have planned your best ever meal. We'll have no tacky, lukewarm buffet food. Whatever entrees you and your guests desire will be cooked to order.

Sirloin, ribeye, a little surf with your turf?

Walton birthday dinner.png

Seared lamb chops for you? Crab louis? Sesame ginger cucumbers to keep it healthy.

Walton dinner 1.jpg

While the club's genius chef has his grill fired up, vegans at the party needn't go hungry. Here are the things he came up with:

Eggplant steaks with vegan mozzarella balls, grilled garlic & herb mushrooms, mango avocado salad with pine nuts:

Walton party vegan options.JPG

For dessert, a lovely cheese board, glass of port, and, need we remind you of that birthday cake, enough for 200 people?

And the vegan dessert options: grilled pineapple, and cake bites made only of date paste, coconut flour and vanilla extract:

Walton party vegan desserts.JPG

For those who don't care to tipple, coffee, tea and fresh organic fruit juice are always on offer.

We reserved a private room in the club restaurant, so of course we'll have music with dinner. Most of the music for the whole party was curated by @2WhiteWolves, due to her steel trap memory of songs you have posted or commented on in the forum over the years (though wolves don't like the term "steel trap"). Bliss added a few songs here and there.

Venus and Mars - Paul McCartney

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

One Love - Bob Marley & the Wailers

Alpha Romeo Super Sprint - The Little Rabbits

In these shoes? - Kirsty MacColl

Now that we've gotten to know each other over drinks and dinner, it's time for dancing.

The club has a sure way to sign up new members, but don't worry Walton. We bought you a membership, so feel free to enter all areas. Your key is at the front desk with your new membership card.

Gents club dance areas 2.jpg

Whether you dance out here with us, or in the private room with the naked ladies, it's the same sound system, and we have the beats:

John, I'm only Dancing - David Bowie

Tequila makes her clothes fall off - Joe Nichols

Sex Money Freaks - Cabaret Voltaire

Telephone Sex - 11 Acorn Lane

Naked Women and Beer - Hank Williams Jr.

After the first long day of travel and festivities, when jet lag and fatigue take you down, you'll sleep in one of the private club rooms on the top floor, a bit spare, but fresh, clean, soundproofed, with luxury linens and private ensuite bathroom. We reserved it for you for two nights. Coffee and tea are served in room if you wish, but breakfast is cooked to order in the club restaurant from 6 to 10am. If you oversleep breakfast, lunch is offered from 11am to 130pm.

Until evening two of your birthday bash begins, when all guests return to the club around 6pm, you can take a swim in the outdoor pool or the indoor one, stretch your limbs in the club gym and enjoy the sauna there, take a walk around the neighborhood and nearby park. The Aussie beauties will be coming around. Some have rented cars to go sightseeing, including the nearby botanical garden, the zoo and the race car museum, and will offer you invitations to join them. Some will have their swimsuits with them, and will offer to join you for a swim and lunch. Or you can just relax with the newspaper or magazines. Satellite movies are available in your guest room.

Or maybe you feel lucky and will join in a game or two.

Lunch is served in the club restaurant or by the outdoor pool. Menu options today include cucumber sandwiches (made to order, easily veganized for those who want them that way), Cornish meat pies, as well as vegan pies filled with potato pea curry, chilled lobster salad.

Grilled lamb burger, in a lettuce wrap or on a freshly baked bun:

Lamb burgers.png

Oven crispy potato skins filled/topped to your specifications, cooling salads with your choice of dressing, and for dessert, birthday cookies created by the inspired kitchen staff, and fresh fruit.

Day 2 lunch salads.JPG
Day 2 cookies n fruit.JPG

In spite of your generous offer to the kitchen staff to eat all they want of that giant birthday cake, and take home leftovers, which they happily accepted, the whole top layer of your cake is still in the kitchen fridge. If you want more of that at lunch, or at dinner tonight, they'll gently warm it by the slice for you.

Luncheon music for those of us staying on the premises. Wolfie is the DJ.

Let me entertain you - Robbie Williams

Do ya think I'm Sexy - Rod Stewart

Witchy woman - Eagles

In the air tonight - Phil Collins

Let's get some beats set up for the second night's dancing and socializing.

We'll pop corks on a few more bottles of the lovely champagne provided by Freyja:

Freyja champagne day 2.jpg

As guests begin returning to the club, we can snack on hors d'oeuvre in the lounge.

Gents club hors d'oeuvre.JPG

Music for socializing, dancing and freaky fun:

French Romance - Soviet Suprem

Birthday sex - Jeremih

It's hot in here (so take off all your clothes) - Nelly

One bourbon, one scotch and one beer - George Thorogood

I'm too sexy - Right Said Fred

Dinner is at 8.

Everybody's here. Time for our final dinner, another elegant celebration for our honored guest Walton.

Starters provide some relief from July heat: sliced melon, chilled vichyssoise, freshly baked bread sticks with black olive tapenade. All of the starters are vegan options too.

Dinner 2 starters.JPG

Apple pecan salad (vegan), shrimp salad in lettuce cups:

Dinner 2 salads.JPG

Mouth watering entrees: filet mignon, melty baked brie with blackberry sauce, vegan oysters Rockefeller made from king oyster mushrooms:

Dinner 2 options.JPG

Chef's sides: grilled veg, and luxury servings of perfectly ripe, sliced to order avocado:

Dinner 2 vegetable choices.JPG

Sublime dessert choices are creamy chocolate terrine and vegan crème brûlée with sugarplums:

Dinner 2 desserts.JPG

Choose a glass or a bottle from the sommelier's wine list, but we're in a club, not an ordinary restaurant, so those who want to can continue to enjoy the champagne provided by Freyja. Coffee, tea and fresh organic juice are also always available.

Our dinner music play list, curated by @2WhiteWolves:

Some will find the final evening of this party carries a sense of being on the down slope, nearing the end. This is understandable when anything you have anticipated and joyfully planned is over, like the day after a holiday. Over dinner we'll look at each other and wonder if we'll ever again be together for an occasion such as this. These songs may reflect that, and will help us work through the sadness:

Fog on the Tyne - Lindisfarne

Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton

Angels - Robbie Williams

Everybody hurts - R.E.M.

Vincent (Starry Night) - Don McLean

We'll have a night to remember, Walton, because we know tomorrow you'll have to go home.

😿💔

It's time to say farewell and hope to be with you again some day, Walton. We hope this has been a birthday to remember.

After breakfast your VU friends will board the superstretch limo with you, to accompany you to the private jet terminal for your flight home. One of the Aussie beauties, who lives in Tasmania too, asked to fly with you. Sure, fine with the pilot if okay with you. The aircraft holds eight passengers. The gents club staff is sorry to see you go too, having been involved in the excitement of this once in a lifetime celebration. The kitchen staff made you a picnic basket for the flight. We added the last bottle of Freyja's champagne.

This song is a heart's wish, and an affirmation of that precious thing that binds us together across time and distance.
