It's day three of my DIY life, so apologies in advance if this one is a facepalmer...

VG is apparently very sensitive with regards to viscosity changes at different temperatures, so I put it in a pot of hot water (just tap hot, not scalding), to warm it up a bit. Makes it so much easier to draw into a syringe and dose out.

I have no problems with PG since it's not as viscous, and my nicotine blend is used in very small amounts, so i'll just be patient with that. Just making sure - any issues raising the temp of your VG to say, the temp of a hot tub before your mixing session begins?

Thanks

Not an uncommon practice, and makes it much easier to work with.
But I don't bother anymore...
I just remove the plunger from the syringe and use a squeeze top bottle to "fill up" my syringe.
Easier than trying to "draw up" the thick stuff, but works equally well for PG.

That's my favorite method. I'm paranoid about nuking the nic and flavoring so I usually add my vg to the bottle, nuke it, then finish adding the rest of the nic, pg, flavoring.
yeah I rarely do it nowadays but did yesterday I have nuked nic and flavors and never noticed any degradation myself

Oh, weight versus volume? Meh, mL's will work for me. But thanks.

Looks like a WHISKEY WILL REMOVE IT IF I SAY IT scale... :D

Syringes are also used for less desirable substances. And more detrimental ones at that.

Weight is really the way to go. Faster-cleaner-more accurate.

Agreed to all three adjectives. However:

- I do this in front of the TV in my spare time, and 75% of my ejuice is for me. I sell the rest for friends at near cost. Seconds don't count, so to speak.
- I don't use pure nic, just a 6mg VG/PG blend which I then dilute down to 1.5 or 2 with PG and VG. Plus, I have sponges :).
- It's e-juice, not a souffle. If I'm not sure I'm gonna like it, I make a 10mL sample first. If the final result needs tweaking, I tweak it, or sell it.

Thanks though.
