Wasp Nano New colours material

"OUMIER WASP NANO is a 22mm RDA atomizer" Is what is written on the product page for this RDA here

It seems that everybody loves those little RDAs, except for one thing...... The cap colours!!!

They are made of Ultem (aka Polyetherimide or PEI) which is great for RDAs given they are little ovens.

Here are the original colours:

Now, they have new better colours including black and white, which will look better on mods, but we don't know what they are made of. And the OUMIER's website doesn't offer any information about the new colours (trying to be smart I am assuming ;);)).

The question here is:

Does anybody know what are those new caps made of? or
Assuming it's plastic and assuming it isn't as good in handling heat as well as the Ultem. Would you take better colour over temperature isolation properties?

** Fast Tech has the 4 products as:
  • Wasp Nano Mini, Brass + PEI, Gold
  • Wasp Nano Mini, SS + PEI, Orange
  • Wasp Nano, SS + PC, White
  • Wasp Nano, SS + PC, Black

So it seems the cap is made out of PC... the question here is......

What the hell is PC?

Never mind, found it. This topic might serve as a guide though.

POLYCARBONATE (PC)
Advantages
  1. Creep resistance
  2. Toughness
  3. Dimensional stability
Limitations
  1. Poor chemical resistance
  2. Processing difficulties
  3. Low fatigue endurance
Overview
Polycarbonate possesses excellent impact strength, high heat resistance and good dimensional stability. It was one of the first thermoplastics to offer these properties. Although it is stable to water, mineral and organic acids, it is partially soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, soluble in the chlorinated ones, and decomposes in strongly alkaline substances. It has good electrical properties.

The strength and dimensional stability of polycarbonates are further enhanced with fibrous glass reinforcement.

Reinforcement with 40% glass reduces the thermal expansion to 1.0 in/in/degrees F x 10E-5 (1.8 cm/cm/degrees C x 10E-5), which is below that of most thermoplastics and some metals. The tensile modulus is increased fivefold. Flexural, tensile and compressive strengths are doubled. Mold shrinkage is reduced, making it possible to produce very precise parts.

POLYETHERIMIDE (PEI)
Advantages
  1. Continuous use temperature of 365 degrees F (180 degrees C)
  2. High strength
  3. Inherently flame retardant
Limitations
  1. Cost
  2. Colorability
Overview
Polyetherimide (PEI) is a high performance engineering thermoplastic. PEI’s characteristics include high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures, long term heat resistance, dimensional stability and good electrical properties.

Like other amorphous, high temperature resins, PEI has outstanding dimensional stability and is inherently flame retardant. PEI does resist chemicals, such as hydrocarbons, alcohols and halogenated solvents.

Creep resistance over the long term allows PEI to replace metal and other materials in many structural applications. Electrical properties show excellent stability under variable temperature, humidity and frequency conditions.

Maybe, I should start a guide on Thermoplastics Materials.

If you want this guide, please do reply or like this post. I should have started a poll ... Sorry

So which is better, pei vs pc?

Admittedly, pc looks a lot nicer, and now fasttech has a ss version with a pc cap and black o rings, which looks really cool.

I currently have the ss version with pei cap, which I love, so I wana get another one, but now I'm not sure which one to get.

Should I get the brass version? Or another ss version, but this time with the pc cap? Or should I just get another ss, pei version like I currently have?

The one I currently have is just so awesome, but it just seems kinda boring to get an identical one when there are other options :/

So pei vs pc? Ss vs brass? What do you guys suggest?
