My favorite was given to me by fate since I am not really familiar with what specific breeds look like when very small. Two times now (only had 2 so far) I have went to the local pound and adopted what were labeled as "lab mixes". And did so just based on how each puppy acted when they were introduced to me after meeting a few different ones. Within a few months of owning them their heads got much larger and developed an distinct smile and then it became apparent what I had adopted. Had I known for sure what they were I can't say I would've adopted them and based on my experience that would've been a huge mistake.

I do as well, and am so glad it smiled (pun intended) on me with those two.
I know I'm kinda late on this, but my brother had one, his stomach turned and died under 5 minutes. Did not have a chance to get him to the vet, let alone in to the vehicle He was under 3 years old. He was good dog, miss him. We knew there was a chance that could happen. But what is life without having a loving dog in your life even for such a short time.Your photo was a nice one, it gets much worst.
I love Pits, they are really loving dogs, they love and are good around children. They get such a bad rap. Another sadTerrible terrible savage beasts
story. Mine died because the stupid @$$ vet gave him the wrong meds, his liver was failing, led to kindey failure, again he was only 3 years. He is the one I miss the most, they have such great personalities.

Well obviously those 4 had already eaten their daily baby allotment and were too full to finish the last one.Seriously though I am not blind to the issues with them but those can usually be traced directly back to the person raising them.

I'm sorry to hear that 2WW that's truly heartbreaking. And you are 100% right they get a bad rap from being unfortunate enough to belong to bad owners. When I realized what my Marley was I didn't go out and get her a spiked collar, I got her a pink one a symbol of how I was going to raise her. To be a big lovable wuss.
Sure sometimes I get weird looks while walking her on it being bald, with a long goatee, and tons of tattoos but it's funny to me.

People just look at me weird because of my bad tattoos, they adore our dogs. Thankfully I haven't met any thugs that own Pits and if I ever do and see them fighting one, I will become a narc, I will sing like a canary. Them thugs don't deserve any type of dog or any animal at all.

I couldn't agree more, those guys make me want to hurl. I see them a lot around Houston and it makes me laugh at them (cry for the dog) got to be quite the pussy to need a certain type of dog to make you look like a badass.
