You’ll have to watch the episode, named "Star City 2046," for the specifics of the Arrowverse 30 years from now, but as for the inspiration behind this one-armed, goatee-sporting Arrow, read on.

Obviously the specifics of "Star City 2046" are different -- for one thing, there’s no Batman in this world as far as we can tell -- but the notion of an old Green Arrow with only one arm comes directly from Miller’s story.
