I would've made a joke about 'vapeons' but I think they already exist. Forget who makes them, thought it was wik stix but I don't think it's them. They were precut lengths compressed in a plastic sheath of various diameters, slide it in then remove the plastic like a tampon and let it fluff out to fill the coil lol. Grimmgreen was using them in one of his vids, mentioned how he wicked too soon after pulsing his coil and the plastic melted to his coil.
Another fan of cotton bacon over here. No pesky top layer to peel away and really easy to work with. I've found that it breaks in much faster than the conventional pad style cotton. I can't really tell the difference between the V1 and V2, both have similar performance, IMO.
Cotton Balls and boiling them, to much of a pain in the ass. Koh gen Do is $11 for 80 large pads, that's a good years worth at least.

I don't usually boil them, but the times that I have, they do come out much whiter, just need to keep them in something where they hold their shape while wet. I do like 20 at a time and then when they're dry, put them somewhere sealed.
