I agree!

They need to at least jack it up to 30 watts!

Place disclaimers all over, do whatever, but sheesh come on....and people wonder why people buy foreign stuff?
At this stage in the game 3ow is still a little light imho. When most people are starting at that point nowadays.
For the sake of getting competitive they meed 50w and temp limiting.
Myself and a good amount of my friends wont buy a mod without that.

Ah I didn't think I had pissed anyone off over here...yet! LOL

As far as ECF, you see how I feel, really always have , only three threads I went on there and I told everyone I was bailing for the most part...

Did the cat people cry?

Ok, I didn't understand why two members here were "arguing" with each other, even though their responses were in the same train of thought.
Then I realized it must be that asshat troll from the Provarinati clan, I forgot I put him on my ignore list so the thread wasn't making sense.

I'm sure this just follows the exact same pattern he has perfected to a gold standard of provarinati fanboyism which you will find on almost every Provari thread on ECF.

Bottom line, this guy is a massive troll who just gets off on trying to one-up anyone who shares their opinion on the device. My suggestion is to ignore this jerk and carry on with conversing with normal folks.

Now, as far as Provari goes, looking at it today, sometimes less is more, so I still think the 2.5 version is a much better product than the P3.
Better than a DNA40 or SX mini M class? No, but I think its an apples to oranges comparison now. I think a proper comparable to a P3 is something like the innokin SVD2, or the MVP2 20W, etc....which the P3 stands ahead if you feel the price is worth it.

Internet tough guy. I met one once. He didn't have much to say in person...

According to Provape they are, it's part of their agreement with them, and if so...they will be VERY unhappy to find out a dealer has been boning people!

I live 30 miles North of Memphis in Millington, and their is no dealer here, there is in Jackson, TN but they do not have a programmer yet...

Nashville Vapor has the programer, and the owner told me on the phone, free!
I have not been in that local shop since they got the green light to update the p3 but a guy I know who works there but at a different location told me it was 20 bucks. I'll have to call them and see what they say.

I am about an hour from Nashville and a few hours or more from you.

No problem there. I have maybe 3 threads that I still half-ass follow over there-- more lurk really. Even less now after my all-expenses paid 5-day vacation from there courtesy of retired1 not liking that I took the opportunity to try and squelch a cyberbully.

I was a admin for a very well know gaming site quite a few years ago, and we never banned anyone unless they were just total ass hats, lewd, you know...we had a VERY high tolerance level, as anyone there was over 18!

I mean common, you can't say WTF, moron in any reference (and although it can be defined as a "slightly mentally retarded person") * it is NEVER used in that way in America!

That's the problem there, they're not Americans who own or run the site!

Just too damn restrictive! IMHO

You preaching to the choir with the fuck censorship. I started coming in here to just get info without the douchebaggery so far that's been mostly successful.
They restrictive like a fat dude in skinny jeans

No one here is dissing the Provari', I have 4 or 5 P2.5' and a P3, amongst a ton of other mods, and as a daily mod with the right atty they are great devices, very reliable, never have any needed any service...

The very real discussion has been the lack of the P3' technology in the form of it's limitations, many are there by design, and can be programmed out.

For the money the P3 is cost prohibitive in the fact it cannot compete with other domestic mods of similar pricing, technology wise.

I mean they just now are releasing firmware to address the sub ohm issue, I mean come on Provape, get with it!

If they jacked it up to 30watts, lowered it down to .3Ω and could add temp sensing, they'd be flying off the shelves of dealers and Provape alike, in comparison to current sales.

They have this phobia that someone is going to use it with a 18390 and blow their face off, I guess?, Duuno...but all they have to do is put disclaimers all over...yada...yada...yada......JUST DO IT!

I mean I was told by their own support the device can be programmed to 40 watts and down to .1Ω , but they have issues doing it....okay so TELL ANYONE, EVERYONE if your Provari has Vxx level firmware DO NOT USE / VAPE BELOW XXX or ABOVE XXX with anything other than 18650 High Drain, High Discharge batteries...supply a list of batteries they approve of, and be done with it!

It goes past telling people that. they would rather ad a stupid puff counter than incorporate the batter sensing bullshit to open up more possibilities,
And that is my issue, right there,
Its like putting a governor on a mustang and not letting it go above 20 on the highway,

Innokin has a 60w mod out and kanger -.makes clearomizers and a 40w mod.
The p3 is almost a year on the market now and still half assed done internally

Better yet they can't just sell it with an 18650 tube? Crazy ideas I get.

Again damn well made, terrible customer service, more limits than an istick

Or simply, if they have "IQ" tech to tell you that your battery cap is dirty, it can sense the difference in the resistance between an 18650 and an 18350. If it can be done in a $75 Chinese mod, it can be done in the U.S. Made Cadillac mod". Shit, if they would have had it unlocked at 40w/0.3Ω right out of the gate, they wouldn't be able to keep them on the shelves!

Both Well said!!!

I too entertained the 18650 tube idea, and the sensor cap....I mean come on.....so simple, hey well I think Provape is now realizing they have shot themselves in both feet!

I mean launching it before color and finish options were ready, and agreed the "puff" counter...come on!

I mean give it a methane sensor fart counter! HA!

"The new P3 with fart sensing technology"!

"I love me my new P3, whoo eeee that one blew the sensor right off the scale"!

The more I think about it the more it pisses me off...

* Money Saved Counter - This new feature allows you to set the price of a pack of cigarettes and the P3 will keep track of: How many cigarettes avoided, puff count, and how much money you have saved on cigarettes, based on the amount you set per pack.

How about how much money you lost by pissing your $$ away on a mod that has pointless bullshit software! o_O
(I think the fart sensor would be more useful)!

"Holy shit ma', that one was a 10....yeoooo smell' it too" LOL :D

How fucking useless!

Very few newbs at vaping go and jump in feet first and buy a $250.00 + mod!

Okay I had to look so as not to be posting misinformation:

Base P3' are now $199.95 (were $249.95), a starter kit is $259.95 (was $305.95)...still how many new vapers are going to spend that on mod? NONE, ZERO, ZILCH!

Pretty damn obvious Provape can't sell them!

I wonder how many they have in stock...I see a chapter 13 in the crystal ball looming...

Damn shame!

When did they ever discount the P2.5' to that extent, NEVER!
(Not as far as every day price, that's for sure)!

I learned something in college about businesses; I had a professor that said a business only fails for 1 of two reasons:

PPM
or
PPM

Piss Poor Management
Piss Poor Marketing

Pretty accurate!

The 2.5s are now 80$...
I can't help but see them as a really well made spinner battery.
I'll never say they are indestructible like most people say. Because put of everything I've owned, my 2.5 was the only one to break.

I know ,I had a NIB P2.5 that I was very fortunate to sell to a sweetie in Minisota...
(Weren't they originally $159.95)?

She always wanted one, yada..yada..yada...seeing as I really had nothing in it (long story)...I sold it to her with some new red 18650 Efests, the Extension cap for like $150.00, (maybe less I forgot) with a free bottle of juice , and a printed owners manual! Bonus!

I was soooo lucky to get that for it!

I know I got more than $130.00....it was right after the P3' came out....

Yep liquidating there inventory. Could be making room for the 2015 classic or just getting rid of the slow sellers.

Yeah they are dropping in value all the time. I saw a p3 in the classies today for 100 bucks.
And on FB they get like zero nibbles when they are for sale. Which is a broader audience than a forum and just goes to show how they are perceived by many.

That guy seemed kind of desperate in wanting to move it. I just looked and it seems to be still available. He might take 80 it is a beta but if you replace the spring and update it then no difference other than the diamond pattern. If Provari was a hot ticket item the Beta would be worth more than the standard P3 since they were made in limited number.

If it is true that a simple reprogramming by Provape could make the P3 40w and fire 0.3 how come nobody has hacked theirs yet? Jail break it so to speak.

Actually a few...some suck, some better...

The best B&M I've ever been in, the first B&M I ever went into is in Little Rock, AR.,

The guy who owns them (now has two) legitimately
A.) wants to help people off the cigs.
B.) IS competitive with on line pricing.

Nice shops, tasting bar, nice lounge areas...

There is one similar as far as the lounge in Atoka, TN. about 10 minutes from here, but the guy is a total schmuck that owns it!

Very nice place to go and vape with folks...I wouldn't buy a drip tip from him though!

Charges ridiculous prices!

Chase The Vape is the oldest in Memphis, very small, but nice people run the place...a bit on the pricy side, makes very good juices...but alas that is goona go down the drain pretty quick...

Me thinks we are gonna see shops closing as fast as they opened once juice is regulated, as juice is their highest profit maker!

There are a ton of Vaporwise', and they SUCK!

That's a better idea! I do have the workspace up and would be cool to turn into what they should be.

Think of that with stacked 18650s!

Well take for instance Vaporwise, and Creat a Cig, their BIG thing is shop made juice, while you wait, like a smoothie shop....ah that always just made me nervous seeing it, and frankly the dOOds they have working there...ah I wouldn't let them mix a smoothie for me let alone e-juice...man...oh man...this juice is sooo awesome man....

Wow... tough crowd here. I can certainly understand the P3 doesn't meet the vaping requirements of many here, but there are a lot of people that still vape at 20watts and under. For them this is a very nice mod. The Provari is still the best regulated mod on the market without a doubt. While the DNAs and SX350s are also very good regulated mods, they are accurate to within 10ths of a volt or watt while the Provaris are accurate to within 100ths. So the accuracy, physical robustness, long warranty, and excellent service still make this a great mod if you vape within the constraints of it power delivery.

And I do get that it doesn't deliver enough power for many of you. In fact, it no longer meets my power requirements either since I've gone to subohm tanks. But that is no reason to bash a mod that is very clear in what it delivers, and does that better than any mod on the market. If it doesn't go high enough for you great, get a mod that does. But if you're a vaper that only does 20watts or less it is still the class of the field.

Lighten up guys this is still a great mod, it just isn't the right choice for those that are looking for more power.

No one here is bashing it, them, I own one!

We have just been discussing the fact that Provape has kind of shot themselves in both feet, no one here thinks they are bad, I own 4 or 5 P 2.5' and one P3, now with the new firmware the device is better, but we had also discussed that it's a shame that Provape doesn't just flash it to .3Ω and 30 watts...

It will do it, I've been told so by Provape, they just have this fear that some morons are gonna use them with 18390 or 18490 batts and blow their face off....

Vaping on it right now actually, have been all day!
