What just happened to me? Couldn't breath at all!

So I just bought a new setup after having no vape for a few days (I've been smoking cigs in the meantime). New batteries, tank (mesh pro quad coils), and batteries.

I took one hit (108 watts, I realize its a bit hot for some people but I'm usually used to it) and completely lost my breath. I was literally GASPING for air in between coughing for about 30-40 seconds while I was driving, and it terrified me. I was barely able to get any air in for what seemed like an eternity and felt like I was actually going to die. I've been vaping for years and never experienced something like this.

Was it the heat? the abstaining from vaping? It just seemed EXTREME for it to be something like that. Has anyone else experienced this before? I'm afraid to touch the vape now...

From what I know, going from cigarettes back to vaping can cause serious coughing for some people, I'm sure the temp of the vape didn't help either. Your body gets used to the inhale from a cigarette, then you throw a hot vape at it, makes sense.

It probably would be a better idea for someone to ease back into it at lower wattage, then bump up as you adjust to hit. The nic level will play a part as well

Well, we can't be used to 108w if it's a diff tank/coil, can we. Lower wattage, adjust air flow. If that doesn't do it try a different coil.

Think of it this way, your very first vape probably wasn't at 108 watts.
