I had the pleasure of hearing Ottmar at the Hyatt Regancy Scottsdale from 2004-2018. This Grammy Winner would play at the grande entrance. As a guest to the hotel, there was a huge open entry in front with valet parking. You go down a short flight of 8 stone stairs. The entry must have been 40 feet long, and just a few steps more was another landing with the perfect acoustics for his music. He would center himself on a beautiful stool, right there, in the center of the veranda. So many people would stop to hear his music, which of course you could hear as you approached the entrance and as you dined al' fresco near or in the shops and restaurants in the large center of the resort. I have two of his CDs.
