In most situations I'd agree that younger people for the most part have shitty taste in music.But every once in a while they surprise you.The 2 songs I'm about to add here are by a group that was introduced to me by a 25 year old.
This is also a great one but chilled...it was pretty much a song by The Rolling Stones The last time.... they were going to get sued for it...... But they got a break for being Brits like the stones......Odd I was just listening to that.

This started great love that sound but then a female artist...... The only songs I heard from a female artist that where in a rock genre that I enjoyed were from Heart...... Like the song..... Barracuda or Magic man with great guitars and old school drums......
