what temps to use on tc mode?

Hello everybody, I am a new member. I have just ordered pico mega and serpent mini. While waiting for package to come i'm searching for some info. It will be the first time messing around with TC. I have already understand the way it works (i believe so) but i couldn't find any guide/list to show which are the safe temp range to choose according to each wire. I saw some ppl suggesting to start on 420F and increasing until you find the temp that suit to you, but didn't find much about safety temps or temps that you shouldnt reach etc..

one more question i have is what are the safe wattages using kanthal wire acocrding to the coils you create. Is there a calculator or sth for this? I was using istick 30w and nautilus mini so excuse me for the various questions.
Thank you in advance

As far as TC goes my favorite wire to use is SS. I find it the cleanest tasting and easiest to use. Just remember when using TC, watts controls the ramp up time, degrees controls how cool or warm you like your vape. I would say you need to find the wattage you like first and then adjust the tempature to fine tune your vape. Can't help you on Kanthal I never use the stuff. I would also suggest that if you find yourself really liking TC you should invest in a really good TC board. My favorite TC mods use the Evolv, FSK, or Yihi board. Imo those are currently the best TC boards on the market.

Thanks for the answer, so do you think 'pico mega' wasn't the right choice? Using SS wire what wattage range is suggested, so that I'll not burn the cotton, before finding the appropriate temp?
Not at all, the Pico is a nice little mod that does in fact do TC. I'm just saying if you find yourself liking it you should consider upgrading to an Evolv, FSK, or Yihi. Those chips in particular really shine in TC mode. Set the temp at 400, find a wattage you like and then adjust it to the temp you like. If you find a temp you like and you feel the coil is getting to hot to quickly then knock down the wattage.
