They are so many vape mods with different appearances and functions in the world now.

You know,the first e cigarettes was the disposable one,they comes with a cigarette shape,orange butt,white battery,yellow light,same size as cigarette,little vapor etc.Really like cigarettes.

Then they were changed to rechargeable batteries and replaceable atomizers, also looks like cigarette but with different colorful lables outsides.

Few months later, the regular ego series come out with 510 tanks and other ce4,ce5,vivi novaclearomizer(used long wick)

Then the time belongs to the ego evod vv/twist/PT battery and protank, mini mt3 series(bottom replaceable coil)

VV mods and mechanical mods with columnar shape were coming. At that time,RDA/RBA/RTA were popular.

For now,big power, big battery capacity(dual battery),TC mods with square shape are welcomed and the Sub atomizers with OCC,RBA coil are very popular.

What the vape mods should be like in the future?

I think they should figure out how to make existing technology work 100% reliably before developing new tech. I honestly don't care what it looks like or how it does what it does, as long as it works.

Beans is right perfecting what we have would be the first step but past that ergonomically speaking the releaux is the most comfortable device I've held besides a tube mod. So more than square.

I don't find my tube mod ergonomic at all. I absolutely hate the fact that the button has to be on the bottom. Any smaller sized regulated device will be comfortable in my big hands as long as the firing button is comfortable to reach. I considered the idea of rigging up some wires to make my mech a side fire button but one couldn't figure out exactly how to make that work (didn't really try that hard tbh) and two didn't want to blow myself up either. Irrelevant now as I will have a cloupor mini in my hands in a few hours.

I agree with Bean. I would like to see the current tech made more accurate and reliable. I would also like to see battery life, whether lipos types or removable, improved. What we will most likely see is more crap than we need crammed into mods like wifi and the ability to play music.

Cigalikes and pens on the market as of 2/15/07 is the future the FDA wants us to see.

Smaller powerful batteries and long lasting liquid is what I would like to see. Cigalike sized with all day tasty thick plumes would be so damn convenient.

The longer I vape, the less appealing anything that looks, feels, smells or taste like a cigarette is to me.

Over all I believe the industry is evolving fairly quickly to what consumers are looking for. Reliability is continuing to improve even with the rapid changes that have been happening.

As there are already ego-T sized sub ohm products entering the market my first prediction is already starting to happen...
http://atomvapes.com/hardware/kits/blaze-subxero-kit-set-abk166-us5088
A regulated sub ohm device not much bigger than an ego-T that offers even basic voltage adjustments and some type of rapid charging would take the industry by storm. People are always looking for the perfect stealth set up and this would be it for many.

I'm not sure that the battery manufacturers are interested but if the 16650 cell format was upgraded with current technology, multiple battery mods could be smaller and lighter without trading off too much in the way of capacity. But I am not aware of any manufacturers embracing that size since Panasonic purchased Sanyo's battery division years ago. And that is really unfortunate as miniaturization has typically been a focus in the electronics industry.

Beyond that, I believe the greatest potential benefit would come from replacing the 510 threaded atomizer connection with a larger more robust bayonet style. I'm sorry but the 510 should have been done away with when vaporizers became larger than a cigarette. And simple threaded connections introduce reliability issues due to over tightening, wear, and are significantly more difficult to keep clean.

There is only so much one can do to heat up a coil ask yourself if your heater in your car has changed much lets say in a 50 year time period.. Answer is no.. Has your furnace in your house taken on artificial intelligence? Maybe our Vape devices will become self aware and let us know if we hurt its feelings

I agree with what was posted.

If people don't learn how to build, wrap coils, DIY, etc., there will be no industry as we know it. There may be an industry but Big Brother will have it so heavily taxed that the normal cost $45 mod will be upwards to $100. That would make the US mods that are extremely expensive now out of reach for most. There may be work arounds and undergrounds but if you are not on the inside you are out of luck.

This is only my opinion and not crying wolf.

I do think there are more on VU that are ready for extreme affects than other areas.

Seriously. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a company come up with something that makes me think they're really onto something only to drop production and development on it in order to make some new, gimmicky piece of crap.

And after that, the better product is gone forever... ...just lost in the ether of new tech that's only ever going to be halfway there. I'm sick of seeing v2's that forego everything that made the original worth having and are inferior at doing what they're supposed to!

Yea I agree with you,the safety, reliability, effectivity are still very important things to most people.

I'm very big on function over form. If something happens to perform well and also look nice, that's great. If something looks nice and performs like shit, its utterly useless and a waste. If it performs well and looks like crap, that's fine by me.

That kit is the poster child of fucked up test fodder.
Sub ohm + plastic = dumb as shit studies about chemical exposure.

I have always owned mech mods with pinkie switches...always thought the bottom button was one of the stupidist design flaws in mod building...but it became the norm, and it allowed for a sleek and elegant look.....

I got my cloupor mini yesterday, and I'm loving the side fire button. The mini is so small that without an atty attached it quite literally fits in the palm of my hand. A mech does not. I'm going to pif my mech soon.

well the mods of tommorow should have boobs......but other than that vaping is like smoking in some regards....there are pipe smokers, cigar smokers, roll your own smokers, and cigarette smokers....and vaping is the same....I vape almost exclusively on gennys....most people who've started vaping im the last couple of years don't even know what a genny is, but I will continue to use them....some people will continue to drip, some will always squonk...there will always be a diversity.....no one mod.

I'm used to a big thick tube in my hand even before I started vaping....so I prefer them.....

It's here and it's the Reuleaux!
Not a Fan of it and for some reason Im surprised many are fans of that mod...Its large and cumbersome, looks like it should be part of a Delorean...I mean if you want 3 18650's and dont care about anything else except it being a DNA200 then I understand but I cant get over how retro it looks....Maybe if it was Black where the dark grey is and red or white where the light grey is I'd feel differently, to me it just looks like a pregnant Istick, which doesnt scream appeal. If I'm paying 150+ for a mod I want some appeal along with the rest of the features on it. Not what I would say futuristic, I feel the Lavabox or VT200 are much better contenders for that.
I think the Panzer DNA200 would be a better fit also..

If you want to talk sleek and elegant, the cloupor mini is 3" long and the tube mod I own, a nemesis clone, is 3.75" long. I do see how the slickness of a nicely designed tube can have its own appeal, but the cloupor mini is one of the smallest regulated mods on the market. Without an atty attached, it fits squarely in the palm of my hand. My tube mod does not. I think the mini has mech mods beat in terms of sleekness.

I will agree with you on the color choice but it doesn't have to look like an amtrak train crashed into the space shuttle to be futuristic looking. Size wize it is pretty tiny in my hand and ergonomically it's the best feeling mod I've held to date.

What's the battery does this mod come with?To be honest,I don't like such a big mod,too heavy.

Well in the future, either we won't be vaping, or we will have all moved on to mainline nic.

It's a liquid which needs seals and a heating element. We have been heating and boiling things for a long time. It's not complicated.

And 18650s are not the future, they are the past. Lipos are next, and then who knows. The only thing we know is huge companies with deep pockets will always be working on improving capacity, density, and discharge. And then we will try them in our application.

The only real improvement needs to be to get rid of the wick. Induction, fission, "lasers"... Heat is easy. Wicks, and them burning is the only real problem.

There's nothing wrong with pens. But it's rather obvious people are willing to carry around a pack of smokes and big ass cell phones. So box mods are not that big of a deal.

There is acceptable liquid capacity and concentration. Wires and chips. Batteries are the only thing determining size. If they get smaller and more powerful, we will just use more.

It isn't carrying around something as big as a pack of cigarettes, but vaping with something the size of a pack of cigarettes...

I want a clock on my mod, not a big thing to ask for right?

Apart from that realistic request, maybe an implant in my lip that's not noticeable that when I suck in on my lips activates and excretes vapor, no need to carry anything around, just refill my lip once in a while? :p

Semantics. People are willing to carry around things bigger than a pen.

My ProVari are bigger than pens, but at the rate things are going, in 2 years box mods will be the size of lunch boxes, and mobiles the size of iPads...

I saw a video where a guy was wearing a hoodie, and the strings were actually tubes attached to a vaping device. So he stuck the "strings" in his mouth and vaped that way. Guess that's kind of futuristic. Don't remember where I saw it.
