This should be fun. What was the first E-Cig you've ever owned? (Disposables don't count.) Mine was a iClear VV with a iClear 16. Damn that was years ago. It was shitty. But hey, we all gotta start somewhere simple right?

Shit I mixed up the iTaste MVP with the VV I just edited that

The one that got me off smokes was an 650 mah ego-T w/ iclear16, then went up to an MVP2 w/ iclear30 ;)

I tried the Vapor 4 life e cigs and quit smoking for 6 months that was back in 2012. But my gums started hurting from those damn cartomizers. I started smoking again toward the end of 2012 and finally quit again with the istick 20 and a nautilus. Now i'm addicted to mods cloud chasing and flavour chasing lol. just waiting for my new istick 50 in the mail and my mutation X version 3 to show up!

I used to have those same tanks. They look like iClear 16's.

2009 I bought a starter kit. I can't remember exactly what the name of the company was but I doubt theyre around anymore. They were basically the style that looked exactly like cigarettes. The nicotine was in the little sponge, and the batteries lasted like 3 hours tops if I chiefed on the thing constantly, which I did. At the time, cartridges were expensive and I fell back into smoking regular cancer sticks. Months later, I discovered cartomizers. I picked up an ego style battery and dripped on the cartomizer for several months. Then stardust clearmorizers were a thing, and I used those babies for years. YEARS. About this time last year I picked up a kanger pro tank, and ran that thing on my itazte vv/vw stick. Then I scooped up some nautilus tanks and have been stuck on these for several months. Currently though, Ive been using an istick 20 with my mini nautilus and its fantastic. Ive been thoroughly pleased with combo. My first rbta is in the mail though, should be here any day now. My ipv mini 2 is sitting here waiting for it. I'm excited to build my first deck. Its been a long time coming.

Njoy 3 piece cig-a-like I bought in 2008. It worked for me and it was quite the novelty when I went out to the bar. No one had seen anything like it.

There is a Columbus based company called Westside Vapors that a few years back was selling little 510 stick battery kits with USB chargers and filled 510 cartos in just about every mom and pop gas station in Central Ohio. I think the basic kit with one battery, a usb charger and two cartos was like $15 Extra batteries were $6 and a pack of filled cartomizers (lots of different flavors) were 5 for $10 and he also sold some E-Liquid. After that I went to Kgo 1100 mAh batts and then on to other shiny things!

I started on V2 ecigs, how little did I know back then, but admit they did stopped me smoking though :)

What a screwed up company they are/were. I ordered a kit from them in 2010. I took 2 weeks to get me half of my kit; I never got the other half and finally cancelled the order and sent back what I had gotten. They did issue me a full refund.

Yea damn expensive and pretty crap products at that, but guess I am proof they do work though.

Smoketips ... http://www.smoketip.com/. The tanks they show now are news to me. It was nearly two years on the cigalikes before learning about Egos and tanks (Vivi Nova) from a shooting buddy. I found the smoketips after an exhaustive internet search with the criteria of replicating the cigarette smoking experience as closely as possible. At the time, the cigalike form was important, the light up tip replicating a cherry was important, the fact that it was autofiring was important, and the escape from stinkies was priceless.

I must not be nostalgic 'cause I didn't keep any momentos from the time. Autofiring would suck, LEDs would bother me, and the capicity limitations and cigalike form would irk me. But, they served their purpose well and allowed me to develop an aversion to a habit I was once wed to.

in 2009 i started with an M602 with stick batteries in a PCC. the atomizers stopped working after 3-4 days and they were 10 dollars a peice. FML it was hard to vape back in the dark ages. But, with the help of 36mg liquid at the time I was able to quit smoking.

I like the Halo Triton. It has a great cloud. Well at least for me. It is small enough. I don't like those huge ones. This looks like the one that I have. Great for a start for me. Halo Cigs Triton – Revisited

Tried the blu a couple years ago, spent waaaaaay too much money on that crap - the chargers always died, the vapor production was shit and wound up going back to smoking. Then my wife and I decided it was time to quit for reals and got ourselves each a 900mah vv spinner and kanger pt2. Wasn't enough for me to fully quit til I got my Subtank and bt50 in December. Been off the death sticks since!

Started with blu, then on to ego650s and ce4s. Then ego twists and a mini protank, then a vamo and a full sized protank. On to a kayfun, then mechs and drippers and finally to now, with a plume veil and a segelei 150.

It was something that was sold at a truck stop, probably not more than a 350 mAh cig a like with a pre filled carto. I bought it to see if I would like the experience of vaping. I liked the idea but the product was very sub par. A few months later I tried a ego and a better carto setup. After that I never looked back. New vapers don't know how little we had to chose from and how bad the products were. Thank God for technology.

Back in 2009 I started with Blu followed by a Njoy 3 piece cig-a-like and almost immediately replaced them both with a Hello 016 battery and cartomizers

First was a Green Smoke kit and a boatload of prefilled carts for it. Not bad, but definitely not worth what I spent. Still, I'll always appreciate that it actually got me off of cigarettes, and quick.

Who remembers cutting tea bags, dumping the tea and using the bag for filler in your carto's.

A cigalike kit from a mall kiosk...way overpriced and the prefilled catridges were stupid expensive, but being new, I had no idea...looking back, I could be angry about getting ripped on the pricing, but then I think about it and they did get me off the stinkies so I guess it was kinda worth it in a way I suppose....lol

Started on V2's with the lousy carts, then discovered the E-Smart tanks that fit the 808 batteries,, then quit the "Nails".!!! Got a Aspire Naulitus kit, and have never looked back.

Mine was a pen style 650mah ego style battery with no brand name on it and the protank (1 or 2?) mini that didn't have the removable drip tip and the tank was some glued in plastic piece. I'm sure they were both clones of some sort. They were awesome for about a week, tops.. haha.

A good ol 650mah ego with a Kanger ts3, started about 2 years ago. Finally upgraded to a istick 50w and a Silo Tank and WOW. Going to be getting a subohm tank soon also. Either the Delta II, Subtank, or the Melo tank.

You fellas that started with ego's should feel privileged.
I had many gas station cigalikes under my belt before I started looking for reviews on e cigs.
there weren't any pens or ego's at the time. there were only cigs and at the time, they were mostly (mostly) pg.
my first major vape purchase was some no brand china shit.
I thought I had done my research but apparently I was reading bot reviews...
the $110 I spent on an ecig starter pack included two cig batts, a USB charger,5 free carts and a cig pack charger.
all of this for the low low price of $110+s/h.......:s

mind you, the ONLY kind of markings on any of the shit that came was the on/off button on the pack charger.....
every bit of it was reversed threaded so nothing matches up to any other device or charger.

Luckily for me, I'm a tinkerer and I happen to do a good bit of steampunk themed projects.
These little shit stix and all of the other bullshit vape gear I've wasted money on eventually gets used as a faux source of steam In one way or another.

Ego-t and a CE4 here. Still have the Ego-t...not really sure how I was even able to vape on that thing. Draw was way too tight and vapor production was minimal, but at least I was off cigs! Now im just a gear whore. Haha
