just wondering where people are getting there stab wood mods at. Found axisvapes looks promising just want to see what else is out there. I mainly want a DNA200 but will check out other chips. It would be nice if it has duel 18650 but don't mind a Lipo. I guess pretty much I don't care as long as they are nice stab wood.

There's a lot that are made in limited quantities by small modders that can only be found through Facebook, and aren't exactly cheap, lol.
I know on some you have to request to be allowed in the group and such. I don't really do much of anything on there as I am old and Facebook illiterate, but mostly because I just don't care to. :p

Yea it looks really nice. But now that I think of it a single 18650 mods battery life does not last me long. I vape around 75 watts with a .21 duel ssclapton. I definitely need something with more power and battery life. So I guess I am down to a lipo or duel 18650 stab. Wish axis had a duel 18650 and not a lipo I would have already bought one. And if I am paying that much for one I think I want it to be a DNA.

Tried contacting axis to see if they have plans for a duel 18650 mod but no response yet.

I have the Asmodus Minikin which is literally the only 2 battery mod my hands can hold comfortably, unfortunately they don't use a DNA chip which I find I prefer. I can carry extra batteries. I'm easy. Help that my standard vape is .5ohms around 33-35w too though.

I thought the Axis DNA200 was a dual 18650 mod?

No it has a 1100 lipo I believe. I looked at the minikin just would rather have the DNA. And think the m17 looks a little better to my taste.

Axis vapes just got back to me and said they don't have any plans to make a duel 18650 stab mod.

Eskie got you guys pretty well covered there as far as stuff that you can actually get and doesn't cost too too much. I own the axis m17 mini and the asmodus and they are both really sweet. Obviously the axis is a bit nicer, but asmodus uses a solid chip, not DNA, but solid.Personally I don't care what kind of chip or material they use, I wouldn't pay over 50 bucks for anything HCigar puts out. I can, and did, get 2 triad dna 200 mods for the money they want for the H Cigar stab wood mod.. Not wood, but a GREAT mod. Eskie pointed out kanger k1 box that has a DNA 75 and a stab wood skin for like 70 bucks or so. Still on pre order though

What's the battery life like on the m17 mini? I don't think it would last me long seeing how I vape at 75 watts.

Speaking of that kanger K1 box ...cannot find the damn thing ANYWHERE!! Do they actually have plans to release it ...at all?

I have several really great mods. This purchase is more of a Christmas present from my family. They wanted to know what I wanted and I said a stab wood box mod. Hence the search. Lol.

The thing that stops me from getting the Hcigar Stab wood is in my heart I know it's a $60 mod. To me throwing a Stab Wood skin on it doesn't make it a $250 mod.

Don't take that to mean I don't like Hcigar. One of my favorite and most used mod is a Hcigar VT133. I just don't see the value of spending almost $200 more for the Stab Wood version. It won't work any better. In fact it might actually work worse since the wood is bound to trap more heat. I guess I look at thing differently that a lot of people do.

PS I'm not a big fan of the DNA75 chip. I much prefer the DNA200/250 chips. They are more efficient (so they run cooler and get battery life) and a little more advanced (I'm thinking of the battery settings) imo. I sort of look at the DNA75 as Evolv's budget offering. Not that it's a bad board, I just prefer the 200/250.

Cheers,
Steve

I will admit I'm quite fond of my HCigar VT75. Works nicely as long as you charge in the mod so you don't have to deal with the fiddly battery cap. I also got it on sale for $49.99, so I made the $50 cutoff for an HCigar product.:D

I can't find a mod with a DNA 200 that's small enough for my tiny hands. I don't vape over about 45 max anyway.

I considered an SX Mini Q Class too. I like the brown but asthetically the stab wood just does it for me. Ya know?

Anyone got the m17 or a mod with a DNA 200 and a 1100 mah lipo? Wondering what the battery life is like. I run a duel ss Clapton .21 ohms at 75 watts.

A 3s 1100mah Lipo would be comparable to a single cell of 3300mah. It would last slightly longer than a Samsung 30Q or LG HG2 (3000mah cells). Since a DNA200 is 97% efficient, it would be better than if you were comparing it to a mod that's not that efficient (that would include every mod I know of)

Cheers,
Steve

Never really used a single cell for a extended amount of time. Used the evic mini with a vtc4 didn't get much life.

My axis m17 mini definitely needs a battery change during the day. I am currently using a vtc 5 in there and have a avocado 24 bottom air about .4 ohms on top. I guess wingsfan summed it up better than I did. The hcigar is a 50 dollar mod in a 200 skin. I like my asmodus wood a lot, it looks amazing, but it is still an asmodus mod. They do have the kodama, and if you want dual battery wood, I believe that may be the only option. Check the width though, not sure if 25mm tanks will hang on it. My silvanusa is only 22 mm. If you vape at 90 watts, you are gonna burn through both batteries and juice, just kinda the way it is. Also, the m17 mini is a DNA 75 device,

Yea that's why I am leaning towards the m17 instead of the mini. Should get more life out of the m17. I can change out batteries on the mini but at 75 watts I don't think I will get much life.

I agree with that 100%. I'll be totally honest with you. The DNA75 can do 75 watts but it will run hot and battery life will be bad. I have around 16 DNA200's and 250's. I only have 2 DNA75's (both Blood Red Lavabox 75's - I'm a sucker for the BR LB :D). They are best run in the 30-50 watt range. I wouldn't recommend them to someone who wants to tun at 75 watts. It's sort of like running your car engine at full blast all the time. You would get terrible gas mileage and it probably wouldn't last long. Lastly the DNA200/250 are 97% efficient. The DNA75 is 85% efficient because it's a buck boost circuit, whereas the DNA200/250 is a buck only. That hit in efficiency is dissipated as heat, hence it runs hotter (DNA75).

I would inquire if the M17 is going to be released with a DNA250 chip. Not so much because of the extra 50 watts but because it uses a 2 amp charging board instead of the 1 amp board the DNA200 uses. That would make it more versatile being able to get a good charge in 45 minutes or so (in a pinch). I think you are making a wise decision.

Cheers,
Steve

Yea wonder if they are making a DNA 250. They probably aren't. When I asked about a DNA 133 with 2 18650s they seemed like they aren't doing anything new. Anybody ask them about the DNA 250?
