Hey All,

I am just getting into Temp Control and i wanted to ask your opinions on it.

Do you prefer TC or power mode on a daily basis?
Why?
Pros and cons of each?

I think i like TC better then normal power mode but i have only been able to do this one coil so far. To say the lease, i am not very versed in TC yet.

I appreciate your opinions!!
Thank you.

Warm vapes...
Just the way VAPING should be
You don't see mech mods on temp control!! IMO
Cons
Dry hits if you dumb!

TC mode
Pros
NO DRY HITS?! (MAYBe)
cooler vapes if you prefer it that way!

Cons
Too much shit to consider,

I prefer TC. It's all I use anymore. When it's set up properly it gives you a very consistent vape. If you set it up to 420F that's what you get no matter how long you push the button. With power mode it just keeps getting hotter and hotter. TC does require more setup, but to me it's worth it. I don't think the main benefit of TC is dry hit prevention, that's just a bonus. The main benefit for me is a consistent vape. YMMV.

Cheers,
Steve

I use TC in a situation like... im on the road and i cant drip often because im driving mainly just to prevent burning my cotton. Or, say im using an rta and notice im running low on liquid... again, mainly so i dont end up burning cotton.
a couple flavors i like better cooler (that new phillip rocke cherry cola... totally love it cooler) but for the most part i just want my uvula scalding cranked all the way up hot vape.. .lol

I never dry hit. Use RDA's most of the time. TC is no use for me. Wattage gives me a better hit. Tried the nickel tc, but the flavor was weird. Heard good things about ss, but really I don't feel like fucking with settings. I like simple with lots of flavor and vapor :)

It does not really matter what anyone else likes, only you vape your vape. Try it all and see what you like. You will find just as many people swear that their TC vape is the mutts nuts as people that swear there is no need for TC at all.

I prefer wattage mode. I'm a total tootle-puffer, 10w, very tight draw, little airflow, and the 25w minimum for the ramp-up in TC mode is just a bit too much for my tight draw attys; also, it's weird, but because stainless steel seems to convey a *fuller* flavor, I also taste my cotton wick with SS wire. With kanthal, I just taste the vape. Last year I tried Ti TC, but it sucked; little flavor, zero TH, and very expensive since it can't really be effectively dry-burned.

I'll just keep tootling on at 10w. :D

i only own mechs, so power all the way...
tc is too cool for me even at 600f, thats the main reason it sucks ass for me. i like a hot vape. plus you cant chuck on tc like you can in power and also less flavor imo.

I use TC in about 90% of my vaping. I rarely use tanks these days so when using an RDA, TC just makes sense.

Edit to add - I don't like cool vapes and with a DNA, I can't tell the difference between TC and non TC until my cotton starts getting dry. 420-460 degrees (depending on my build) gives me a warm and flavorful vape.

Well in my opinion tc can be good and bad, on my Dna200 it works great on my yihi it sucks. I use power when I'm out n about as Dna200 is just a little to big to keep in my shirt pocket, plus I use a sub tank. Just easier then dripping and driving.

TC vaping never really caught on with me, even with extensive attempts at making it work. Since i simply never let my tanks run dry to begin with, I just never saw much of a point other then essentially making my vape hit less hard then i wanted it to. Plus in trying every wire out there...I still found myself liking kanthal's taste the best. By far.

Having bought the Hohm Tech Hohm Slice recently changed my tune there some though. I like the kanthal TC on it enough that i went from 100% of the time power mode vaping to 50/50 with the TC. Some of my more complex DIY mixes just seems to shine a little better when i get it dialed in just right on the Slice.

I prefer wattage mode and only for my mtl tanks. For dl vaping I much prefer an rda and an analog mod. Mechs only. Mech/rda users know what I'm talking about. ;) I also prefer manual transmissions without traction control or other electronics that warn you about shit or brake for you. I'm not an oblivious soccer mom that doesn't really know how to drive. I view sub ohm tanks and do it for you mods kinda the same way. I know what I'm doing so I prefer to do it myself.
