Which way should I go? (help me choose)

This is my first post here on the forum. I've been reading various threads over the past several days and I like what I've read.

I will be in the market before long to upgrade my current setup. I currently have a Joyetech Ultimo atty (love it!) mounted on a Joyetech eGo mega twist+ battery. Before I get to the story, I have to say that I think this setup looks killer in all stainless.

This setup was bought as an upgrade to my wife's Nautilus mini/eGo twist. She didn't like it, and I understand why. She enjoys vaping as a replacement for cigarettes, and a direct to lung vape just isn't for her. I have started using the new setup myself. It works for what it is, but I think it's performance is limited by wattage, even in bypass mode. I even verified this by mounting the atty on a Kanger subox mini set at 40w. The Ultimo does heat up enough to vape, but takes a couple seconds to prime before it really starts cranking. My current juice is a peach punch flavor in 80/20 at 3mg nic, tasty but needs more heat.

This gets me to where I need to make a decision. I love the atomizer, but I need a mod with a little more kick. I am looking for a mod that outputs between 100 and 200 watts. I would prefer a box with either 2+ 18650 batteries, or a built in battery of a similar capacity. I like more conservative styling. I love gadgets; I worked in mechanical engineering for 10 years. I would love to have something to play around with . I would like to perhaps get into coil building at some point.

I have a couple models picked as favorites. These are the Joyetech Cuboid 200w, Joyetech eVic Primo, and the Wismec Reuleux RX200. What I am looking for are opinions of these devices, and well as recommendations of others that I should be looking at. Also, anything I should be staying away from.

Joyetech eVic Primo

That's what I'd go with out of the ones listed.
They are pretty sturdy in my experience, fairly inexpensive, perform well and even better with Arctic Fox 3rd party firmware.

For a mechanical engineer, the G2 comes to mind. More tech than I need. Plenty of DNA mods to consider as well as Yihi.

For me, the Battlestar is fine and I'm sure an Alien would work too. I like the slim shape of the Cuboid 150, though it has performance limitations at the higher end.

Built in options like the Innokin 100tc and newer Tesla 120 tend to offer less power but great form factor. But once the battery dies, that's it for the mod.

Also, will other tanks come along? I would want more than 100w for a tfv8 or similar.

Cuboid 200 and Reuleaux 200 ate both triple 18650 batteries. A big jump in size and weight from an ego. May not be very pocketable when you're on the go. Among them they also have different form factor. The reuleaux was a big hit because it had 3 batteries in a diamond form, so it fit in the hand quite well. The cuboid batteries are in a row, so maybe hard to palm.
There's evic primo is already being released as version 2.0 to replace the 510 pin in the original and the "leather" stickers on the back. If you pick this one, make sure you buy the 2.0.
Wismec and Joyetech are the same company. Many users have reported problems with the 510 pins on both. NOT all units are bad, and there are lots of positive reviews for both.

Other alternatives includes the Battlestar 200W. Built like a tank, works great and is affordable. Many users love it and rave about it. It's from Smoant so not as famous as Smok/Joyetech/Wismec.
There's also the Smok Alien which has been quite the hit and is viewed very favorably.

Thanks! My search has come to an end... for now. I stopped in at a local shop yesterday after work. They had a section of preowned equipment. It was not the direction I wanted to go, but I found something to suit my needs. Namely, a Smok H-PRIV 220W TC.

It's in a blue and red color scheme. Although I wouldn't have picked those if I was buying new, I love the device. It has an all aluminum body, unique firing button, and the user interface was easy to navigate.

I am currently vaping at 60W using a Joyetech Ultimo atty with the ceramic coil. The flavor on the first hit with a freshly cleaned and primed coil was amazing.

Interesting note about the ceramic coil for the Ultimo. I atomizer came with a ceramic coil, but the replacement ones are slightly different. The replacements have a mesh screen inside surrounding the ceramic and a bit of screen across the top. I'm not sure if this is a new design, but the replacements seem to like a higher wattage. The large diameter of the coil makes cleaning them with cool water a snap which will, I suspect, make the coil last a heck of a long time. The atomizer and replacement coils were bought at the same time directly from Joyetech.

I went into the store looking to replace my wife's Nautilus Mini. I walked out with a full size used Nautilus for $10 and the Smok for $50. The mod even came with a pair of new-ish batteries.

Awesome. The H-priv is pretty reliable. Nice big fire bar.

The mesh on top of the coil is designed to prevent spitback (unatomized juice) getting in ypur mouth when you vape.

Most coils come with reccomended wattage ratings printed on the side of the coils. If not you can check online. The ratings is merely a suggestion. Vape at your own preference. Buy replacement coils as the disposable coils will only last from a few days to a few weeks.
