Yeah? What kind of stainless wire, for wattage mode? With kanthal, I use 29ga, somewhere slightly above 2Ω (9 wraps around 3/32). Run it between 9.5-10.5 watts.

I'd say don't mess with SS then :D

Like I said SS is lower resistance, if you like that higher resistance you're going to need to go with like 32g SS and that'd just get to be a pain in the behind. Stick with what you're doing.

I used 22-26g for various different builds and they were all great for what I designed them for.

I was using 1.6-1.7Ω for a long time, but someone told me that the iPV Mini wouldn't step down to accommodate my previously-preferred 9w, at that resistance, so I started building at 2Ω or slightly higher -- then I discovered how to set my iPV mini to PWM mode, so it WOULD step down, but I like the battery life better at the higher resistance, so I just keep building that way, and using slightly higher power -- 10 or 10.5 watts. It's really only the difference of 2 wraps around 3/32, but the batt life is perceptibly better at +2Ω; the increased surface plus higher power also provides just slightly more vapor -- I can't handle a lot, with my asthma, but it's a small enough difference to be enjoyable, yet not a problem for me.

Yeah with the 316SS at 32g in a 2.5 ID dual coil build you'd need 15 and a half wraps on each coil. So yeah... :confused:

SS is a nice alternative for Kanthal in subohm builds but won't treat you right at higher ohm builds.

I gotta say Nichrome has become my favorite wire.. I think TC sucks and is perhaps overated, but I understand some folks swear by it, I'm just not one of them... That said I really like 24g Nichrome.. 10 wraps on a 3mm bit at .25 ohms (dual coils) hits great in the both the Griffin and Dark Horse RDA at about 70-80w on the RX or IPV4 mods..
Ramp up is instant and not too hot providing a good nic hit with only 2.5 mgs in my 100% VG juices..thick, fluffy white clouds too...just my 2 cents, lol

I never, ever use dual coils.

My best friend got her (almost brand new) Caravan, SLAMMED into today:(. She had her youngest daughter with her. Luckily....they are both OK. She's had the worst luck with people causing accidents since she moved down to S.C.:rolleyes:. I'm going to tell her that she needs to move back to CT.....NOW;).

Sorry to hear that. I'm glad they were both OK - but wrecks SUCK.

Good evening everyone! Been a busy day here. I had some errands to run this morning and didn't get to bed until after 11 AM. Got up a little after 5 PM, and spent some time getting my new Griffin set up. It flooded a little but seems to have settled down now. I think I'll save it for home vaping for at least another day to be sure it doesn't want to do it again. I think I might have overfilled it. Anyways, after running to the store, and dinner, I'm trying to catch up on the board before work. You guys have a great evening!
