I do know what you are talking about. I have 2 acres to mow my self. Your yard is twice that size. I'm luck my other 2.1 acres is timber.

I no longer wear my eye glasses when I vape. Why you ask, went to my glasses guy today to get them adjusted, after the adjustment he proceded to clean the lens. He asks what I use to clean them and I say B&L lens wipes, he says I am having a hard time to get rid of the smears and smudges, stop using them. Then the light goes off, Vape Film, on the lens like glue, it took him a half hour to get it off. Funny,I had noticed a little blur, but shook it off to the fact I probably need a new prescription, wrong! No more glasses on, when I vape!;)

I'd be blind around the clock, in that case -- I can't focus on anything nearer than about 3 ft, without glasses. I'll just have to deal with the constant cleaning -- yet another reason to be glad I use 87% PG. :)

Karma, in the Hindu parlance, is very much like 'Do Unto Others...;' in Judeo/Christian theology.

Or, in secular terms, "What goes around, comes around."

Humankind is still very cruel and savage. From people with different ideals, to the corporate private sector tactics driven by wonton greed. We've got a LOT to learn, and improve upon.

I grew up when parents had rights; not all parents were child abusers, and children had structure in their lives back then.

Now, when I pass by YOUNG children in the street, they speak using gutter verbage, and they don't respect authority of any kind. In most cases - they don't respect themselves.

My generation may've rebelled, as I paralleled the 60s and 70s growing up.

For most of us, we did it QUIETLY. Out of respect for our elders, and fellow humankind.

Parents today allow their kids to drift, as they play with their Game Boys - while Dad is on an X-Box, playing "Call Of Duty 3."

Mom is on the laptop, hitting all of her social networking sites.

Many kids heat up their own GMO, processed foods for dinner. It is the dissolution of one of the most important cogs in the 'life machine -'

The nuclear family unit. Which, exponentially affects communities. Educational systems. Society, as we know it today.

My daughter was home-schooled in her junior and senior year, due to losing her virginity to 'persons of an alternative lifestyle,' just trying to find friends at a School of The Arts.

She, at twenty-three, is getting ready to marry a fellow whom I completely trust, as he makes sure that she's provided for. She works, as well.

My son - well... he's still needing his GED, and he needs to stop living with my ex, as she's an alcoholic. He is, too.

I bare responsibility for half of the bad things that happened to my children, as I wasn't a great role model. A road musician, with bad habits of mine own.

Yet, I made sure that we sat down at the dinner table, and I gave my children all of the love that I could.

Karma may be a 'female dog,' but life is what we make of it. Getting bit on the @$$ is the least of our polarized, divided society's problems Stateside.

Liz and I have two favorite emotions: Love, and Wonder. That's why we have our screen names here, as:

@LOveWerks and @Liz Wonder ;)

@Jimi. Thank you for your concern for Liz. She's using Flector pain patches now, and she sleeps in a reclined position. When she coughs, she expectorates. This is a good thing. Liz said for me to thank you for your kindness, and we're praying for you, too.

I received a flailed chest in a car accident years ago, so I remember the breathing difficulties, and the pain. It took almost a year to be comfortable again.

Tomorrow - surgery. Dammit, Jim - I'm not a doctor! Just a hinky, worried patient (my paternal grandmother died of kidney cancer).

LW & Liz :):)
Make sure to have Liz keep us posted on how it goes! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

HiYa Kimber my friend how's your night going? Wish you the best of luck with your interview:):D
It's going. Over soon. It's been busy, which makes the night go by quickly but it seems like when it does decide to be busy it's REALLY busy,,, like pull-your-hair-out busy. There's a lot of stupid shit that goes on here,,, and just the mere prospect of getting away from here makes it all seem that much stupider (is that a word???)

Love what you wrote, though one comment. It's not the Nuclear family unit that is important, it's simply spending quality time (not sitting in the same room but actually conversing and being together) with those that actually care about you and the whole group. It doesn't need to be a nuclear family, it can be all sorts of things.

I typed out two rants but I'm going to just leave it at that, I think we all know that society (especially for the younger generation) is getting scary. I look back to Rome and cringe.
